E3 2008

So i know i wasnt the only nerd watching this thing.... or at least i know im not the only one keeping tabs on what is going on... so what were your reactions? I kept a mental note of mine and i thought i would share...

• I dont own an xbox 360... but i might get one in the future (especially w/ that nice price cut)... so really im watching this spotlight only out of curiousity...
  
• Is it me or does G4s Morgan Webb look creepier and creepier everytime i see her... she has this spooky happy grin...
  
• Hmm... the first demo looks cool... a lil rpg action in the middle of a FPS w/ the nice cinematics... too bad im not a huge fan of FPSs
  
• Gears of War 2 eh? Another FPS starring the grizzled space marine.. the graphics do look beautiful but i mean... come on... another gritty space marine fighting an evil horde of aliens/monsters? Cracked.com had an excellent article on this... man i love Cracked.com.
  
• Fable II looks phat... start out as a kid... then raise a family? Man... video games are becoming more and more life like... perhaps too life like <<.... >>... Skynet is becoming self aware...
  
• Resident Evil 5 is looking a-freakin-mazing... online co-op? Say whaaaaa? You mean not only do i actually get a partner that isnt useless (lookin at you Ashley Graham) but they can actually be one of my buddies?! Capcom... not since the good ole days of Street Fighter have you so thoroughly rocked my socks off...
  
• Hmm... im not wearing socks... my ankles are just ashy... i better get some lotion
  
• Wow... this Microsoft guy is talking a lot of smack about Sony...already predicting that they will outsell them... its not their fault you backed a loser in HD-DVD...no need to be bitter... hehehehe
  
• Is it me... or is this avatar thing a lame ripoff of PSN's Home?
  
• Banjoe-Kazooie? Really Microsoft? Really? Because the first time around on the 64 went so well....
  
• I cant believe we had to sit thru that your in the movie segment... i want to shoot my face off...
  
• The President of Square-Enix really should have had someone translate for him... its not that his english sucked... or his accent was bad... he has to have some sort of speech impediment... or maybe he's deaf? Either way... it is kind of painful to listen to him ramble on...
  
• Word? Et tu, Final Fantasy?
  
• Wow... chalk another one of Playstation's exclusives getting lured by the cheddar... i guess i cant blame em... Cash Rules Everything Around Me... Cream get the money... dollar dollar bills yall.
  
• Hahahaha... this guy is rubbing salt in Sony's wounds... then dousing them in gasoline... setting it on fire... and then urinating on the ashes... i gotta say... the sheer douchebaggery is impressive. I tip my hat to you sir.
  

I cant wait for Sony's response to this... cuz Microsoft totally called them out... and then proceeded to slap Sony's momma...its on like Donkey Kong beeyotch! At least i hope so... it would make for some entertaining tv

Here are my random thoughts on Nintendos Spotlight:

• Wow... no matter how you do it.. videos of people play the Wii only makes them look like spastic douchebags...
  You know what everyone wants... a wii lightsaber game... which yeah sounds cool... and will be fun to play... but will most likely end up having you look like
  
  
• Hmm... Nintendo is really pushing this whole "Women play the DS too!" thing... its almost 50/50 now... yeah but is that because more women are buying the DS or is it b/c less men are buying it...
  
• GTA Chinatown wars... hahahaha... i have no idea why that makes me giggle so much... i wonder who is the next featured minority?
  
• Hmm... Shigeru Miyamoto is still the man... even after all these years... he still has that "kiss the ring beeyotch" aura around him...
  
• Honestly wtf... where are all the really cool games? Zelda? Mario? Wii Sports Resorts looks like a fun lil time waister and all but come on... and Banjo-Kazooie? Really? If you're going to bring back a 64 classic, bring back my man Fox McCloud.
  
• So Im waiting for the vacuuming simulator for the Wii... you know... 'Wii Suck'... heheheheheh hahaha hehee... I had tons more...
  

Overall, the Nintendo spotlight was WEAK. As for my random thoughts while watching the Sony Spotlight:

• They really need to fire back at Microsoft... because thus far... they had the best showing at E3
  
• God of War 3 was announced but the teaser was weak... i mean its cool to know that Kratos is still coming but that teaser didnt even show him in action... it really makes me think they havent done much for the game
  
• MAG sounds sheer awesomeness... finally some people putting that PS3 processor to good use! Battles of up to 256 people?!?! Can the PSN even handle it? The other day I tried to play a fighting game online and the server nearly blew up...
  
• Hmmnn... Eternal Sonata is coming to the PS3 w/ extra content...
  
• Wow... they are still trying to push the PS2? Really? The PS2? Wtf Sony..
  
• inFamous is looking good... i cant wait to fry some citizens
  
• When the hell are we getting Playstation Home? Damn you Sony... damn you to an afterlife of watching Barney re-runs...
  
• DC Universe Online?! Im not a fan of MMOs... but how can I resist entering the DC world as a villain... I call dibs on the Kidder... or the Giggler... or Rex Rooster...
  

Final Verdict: Microsoft is doing bigger and better things... they were the champs of E3... and w/ the price cut... i see myself getting one in the near future. As an avid Playstation fan... i must say i was disappointed. Looks like im going to have to learn japanese and start importing their PS3 games...

Ah, I have never been on the Sony train. I spent my time after the Atari on the Nintendo band wagon and didn't get off until the Gamecube came out. I realized that Nintendo was going lame at that point, especially with all the talk of "family oriented".

Sorry, Nintendo, this is a gamers world, so, take your "family oriented" and shove it up your @$$.

X-Box 4-Life.
