Real tasteful inscribed...

Anyway... the movie was imo the best of the year... it def topped Iron Man... who takes 2nd. Heath Ledger was brilliant as The Joker... his performance was quite possibly the best that the role has ever seen... animated or real life. I really enjoyed the direction they took this movie... this is what Batman was meant to be! And as the cherry on top of the awesome pie... they showed the trailer for the Watchmen Movie ! Im goin to make a bold prediction that Watchmen will be the best movie of 2009... the graphic novel that it is based on was so damned good... and this is the same guy from 300 directing it... I smell success and a half.

AWESOME MOVIE! Now this is a movie. Waaaay better than the first and characters stuck to close to their comic book personalities. The Joker....man that was the Joker. In fact I might have to say Heath's performance was an even better version of the comic book version. The movie has multiple plot twist and turns, life shattering decision making, action, gadgets, and two villians. The only thing I can complain about (and this isnt even really a complaint) is that I wish Holly Quinn was in the movie. Over all 5/5 !

Going to go see it Wed night...and I guess I should drag the professor with me. I was hoping for a cameo or menchion of Quinn, but I did know of the second villian. and have been waiting to see how good they make him look since they will not show it in the trailors. I am so hyped about this movie, and get paid today, but alas I have other plans till weds.

Saw it twice. I found myself waiting for the Joker's scenes the second time around and zoning out for the rest of the movie.

Second time was in imax, the first time I've seen an imax, and it made me pretty sick whenever there were lots of straight lines. Any of the aerial cityscapes, the batcave w/ the lights and ugh my head hurts just thinking about it. I'm usually not bad about that sort of stuff. Any roller coaster anywhere, 3d stuff at disney land and whatever, but this got me. So that could color my second viewing.

I wonder how much Heath Ledger dying plays a part in that too. There's no way to know since he can't un-die in the past for me to see the movie not thinking about the actor being alive or dead. The thought occurred to me often enough during both screenings. Anyway, the laugh still impressed me. Getting accused by the pimp of being crazy, "No I'm not. No, I'm not." I was hooked.

Enjoyed it throughly - though I got a bit of a 'drawn out' feeling towards the end. Not so much as I'd say it dragged on but it seemed to take a long time to hit the climax towards the end.

Definately worth seeing though - great movie. Loved a lot of the Joker's lines, though I have a sick sense of humor that way. ;)

L-A
