No goodies again...

yeah you can go from 35 to 50 on almost any class doing quests at a pace that is quicker than soloing, and only slightly slower than an average 3 man group.

Not to mention the hefty amount of gold you will have at 50, in excesss of 400k if you grind quests from 35 all the way to pinnacle.

What is your usual play time? And more importantly' date=' how many hours did you play a day? How much of that was with a party and how much was quests?[/quote']

I play at all times ;)

I had ~30, maybe 35, hours at 50. Very little were quests. In fact, I gained 1 level from quests. I would have been better off doing more quests, I could have gained faster, though I was trying to help people that were with me which weren't as knowledgeable. ...So I actually slowed myself down. ;)

Ok, so outside of Mudder who apparently has all day to log on at his leisure, anyone noticing a disparity between evils and goods. Whenever I log on there is at least 4-5 evils in my PK and almost never a goodie even in my grouping range. Sometimes a random neutral or two. We need something to encourage a balance across the aligns...4 goods, 6 neutrals, and 20 evils is just insane...

I would tend to agree Dey...but fact of the matter is that the superior evil eq, freedom to do what you want to whom you want, and overwhelming balance of power as far as super decked people go makes it a real task to even consider logging onto your good. Even if you do, as soon as you manage to find a party after 3 hours of waiting (not exaggerating at all that was my experience just yesterday, it was even longer the day before) one of evils is going to attack, word home, heal, attack, word home, heal, attack again...until your groupmates get frustrated and leave. IMMs should develop something to encourage equal numbers across the aligns. I used to play a MUD where you couldn't make an evil or neutral or good if they had an overwhelming number advantage. There wasn't align specific eq there either (we have established that evils have superior gear right?). I'm not talking about something that drastic, but something needs to be done. Increased gains or something, because there is basically no good reason to even have a goodie at present. And that is coming from someone who prefers a good aligned RP and generally rolls for the underdog, not because I have the talent to shift the balance but because my name being on the who list as a goodie might shift someone more talented to roll a goodie for once. It is just like an FPS where everyone stacks to the PROZ instead of playing a nice numerically balanced game where skill, luck, and maybe a random lag spike will decide all things.

oddly enough' date=' i'm actually much more motivated to kill fellow evils than the few goods that are on. this year is the first time i've felt that way.[/quote']

This is so nice to hear, one of the problems i think we have at the moment is so many people playing evils don't actually play them like an evil.

Being Evil comes with quite a few nice perks over being good in terms of equip, not having to request, cabal choices etc.. This is balanced by the fact that evils have to watch out for everybody - don't cooperate with each other very well, and in general don't help each other out. Unfortuntley the perks are coded, and the malus' rely on player RP to enforce them, and for quite a while I've seen a few people who don't seem to see it as Good and Evil, but rather Team A and Team B, where they are on Team B and just want their team to win. This makes me sad.

I remember when Forsaken was playing Atsul(a), who kicked my Knight Cleric Daerlion around all over the shop there was actually someone who had a go at the character in their deletion thread for "Being an @ss and trying to ruin the Cabal (nexus)" All Forsaken did was play a Nexus the way they are supposed to be played, Evil and Chaotic, but to the player in question ( I don't remember who it was) he was being an *** because he wasn't being the 100% perfect Cabal mate.

When I play an evil, I tend not to like other evils as much and try to align myself with neutrals more. It's my own thoughts and rp as well. I don't trust evils much at all. But it's true, they should be fighting alot more than they do now.

As for the very few goods, what's funny is as I write this, There is only one evil on that I see. Out of twelve. I know numbers shift up and down, but go figure.
