Werebeast again

I know i've tried to help my furry little race by trying to either take away autotransform, or giving them more defenses when transform but neither idea seem to be liked. I proposed another suggestion. I was thinking if werebeast at 50 should be given a quest or just given the ability to transform into any of the beast their sex allows. I think this would be pretty cool, and I cant see it being overpowered or such.

I like this. If a werebeast could change into different forms they would have the benefit of changing it up a bit and trying different battle tactics. Also, most people that make werebeasts delete if they don't get the animal they were looking for. This would encourage them to stick around and play the game.

Uhhh, have you actually seen what all the werepowers do? It would be a bit much.

I like! Turn my druid into a blademaster.

Not if you can still only use one at a time. I like it as well.

I was going to propose something a long time ago, but I wasn't able to give it enough thought... This might be an answer to the problem I was having.

So here it is. My premature idea.

We have no neutral q-race. There were propositions of dragons awhile back. I think that was just stupid. No offense. I don't think dragons should be anything but a mob race.. Dragons are too mythical and hardcore to be a fragile player that gets one-rounded because he forgets sanctuary. Nor do I see dragons having sophisticated speech, unless tiamat is yelling, " now you die!!" So here is my solution to this problem.

Werebeast. Change them into a q-race. Lvl 30. Though, if they become a q-race... They will need to be buffed up. Perhaps this would be one of the buffs they could get? Along with a slight retooling of the race to increase that "secrecy" value.

They don't need to be only watcher-wannabees. Even though the history of werebeast is that they were created by Gaia. I can easily think of numerous ways how such a power could be possibly transferred. We can think of them as Avatars of Neutrality. Serving the scales of balance. Or just being chaotic jerks.

Obviously this needs work. Perhaps this could be a good change if given enough thought?

'hmmm. Very interesting idea. I've been playing a whitewolf game. Werewolf: The Apocalypse for about a year with some friends. Werecreatures, but werewolves especially were always protectors of gaia. Anyway. Theres 3 deities. Gaia, the earth mother. The weaver, it's pretty much neutral, it... builds. and the wyrm, which, while originally good became corrupt and is now the evil deity that is trying to end everything. So. bringing this back to a point. Maybe make werebeast a quest class, the avatar of neutrality. Any base race. or like human, half-elf, halfling, pretty much anything neutral. Just be a follower of the weaver, or whoever happens to be the neutral deity, or just be followers of the ideal of neutrality or something. Anyway. So. At 30, apply, quest, and if successful become embodied with the powers of the weaver, or neutrality, and be able to change into any wereanimal(gender specific) but, of course, beefed up somehow or changed so its a secret. haha. I think it just restated the others idea.. I was going somewhere with this originally...

I dont think turning them into a quest class will accomplish anything. However at 50 I do think a so called "master" werebeast should be able to transform into multiple forms and being able to control their autotransform.

Aliaun I am not sure what you mean by turning your werebeast into a blademaster.

I dont play WB because i cannot get the beast i want when i want.

After 4 tries, i got very frustrated, as it reminded the reason i left my previous mud. Random stats a la Werebeast best.

Edit: In fact i will vent a bit more about the 30+ minutes i took me to see the stats of a character on that mud. And the 300 times i did it over the course of several years.

People random prime "stats" "races" are not fun. Even D&D is ending it in V4.

in D&D terms, multilingual dragons are completely appropriate, given their intelligence. if you've ever perused the montrous compendium, you'd see immediately that dragons have a higher intelligence than intelligent humans, and the book had no prob with them speaking different langs in their dragon form. and this isn't even speaking of the fact that many dragons like gold and red dragons spend much of their time in other forms by polymorph.

that said, neutral q-dragons sound ultra-lame. although, maybe a general dragon q-race could be pretty dope.

He is just looking for ways to make Druids sound cool and exciting. Unfortunately, the pbase is too smart for his sly ways.

Silly, silly Aulian.

Pffft.. Give me a go with a werebeast I can choose to turn into anything... Carnage.. I can see it now... Oh the carnage.

Whatever. My idea has potential. I will work on it once my exams are over.

Ok so we all agree dragon Qrace = lame. But what about a similar idea? A race of Progeny. The ancient dragons in their boredom would obviously breed, and if polymorphed with regular people perhaps. So a race of not quite half dragons, but dragon blooded people.

Just an idea.

make the race they get a selectable thing based on gender.

such a pain in the *** when you have wolf desc or tiger desc and get the blasted falcon 5 times in a row...

that dragon idea is pretty cool, and it could even be an RP plot if enough players decided to be "dragonbloods" and try to take over some city or whatever

This I agree with VERY strongly.

Whats wrong with falcon form? It's actually the best out of the 3...

I dont know, i like the idea of +2 size bodyslams.

There's four. But yah, the falcon bonuses and werepower are really good. I like tiger too.
