Iusedtobesomebody
Since I've grown so tired of the whole "info hording vets" mindset, I've decided to do something about it. Starting now until whenever, I'm inviting any and all to PM me for any question you might have. It's not to appease some of the "town criers", but more so to aid the playerbase as a whole. As a former high level IMM, I helped shape this game we love. This will be how I continue to do so. The following guidelines will be enforced: No qrace/qclass specific info. You want it, earn it. No cabal info. Sign up and learn yourself. No code mechanics. You must be crazy. No quests outlined. In any areas I feel are gray, I'll at least give you a nudge or point you in the right direction. All answers will be either my opinions or the truth. Also, I reserve the right to indulge in Dr. Denis Leary's school of therapy, "Shut the f*** up. Next." The current staff has the right to tell me not to do this, if they feel it is inappropriate.
Pali
I'd add another guideline of "No particulars regarding rare eq." People can feel free to use me as a second opinion if they like, with the above guidelines remaining intact and my own added.
a-guitarist
I've been toying around with different classes, trying to learn the difference in abilities of skills. I've found that Warriors strike, with a mastered sword skill, 83% of the time on mobs at A LOT of luck. However, Bards hit more often at roughly 83.43%. Furthermore, I've taken Paladin's into account, and when they are blessed, they go from a 80.3% up to an astounding 88.9%! So, here in lies the question... why can't I get a date? Bunch of FL'ers here say they've got a great girlfriend, wife, or bed warmer and that women are limiting their time played... I want to know what info they're hording! a-g
Kyzarius
so basically your not going to answer any questions that would be squelched on the forum's and you will answer anything that can be asked here. sry, had to .

f0xx
Oh, I tried, it doesn't seem to work for me Now lets open the bag with question 1. Does a feral who is dual-wielding a spider blade get dual parry at 100%? 2. What is the difference between the different beast forms of the were-beasts. What are all the beast forms? 3. Whad does the "blessed arms" spell actually give you? Both when blessing a weapon and when blessing a shield. 4. What does "magic resistance" actually mean and how does it actually work? That is for now, I am sure I will soon come up with a lot more
corpsestomp
1. No. 2. Falcon, Tiger, Wolf, Bear. 3. I don't know, I haven't played around with it enough 4. I think of it as something like -10 save vs spell.(It's probably more, but eh, whatever).

Shinth
Someone please tell me or point me to the file (if it exists, I haven't found it) with all the cabal clans. I only know that Something Oak is for Watcher, Despair is for Nexus (I think), and Hope for Knight (again, merely a supposition). EDIT: I am having some difficulties with something I am working on, can someone please tell me the names of all the temples, with the location (name of area)? All of them, not just Val Miran, Rheydin and Miruvhor.

That is for now, I am sure I will soon come up with a lot more 1. I have no idea, but I'd highly doubt it. 2. http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showpost.php?p=124063&postcount=48 LA gives some good information on the effects of transform here. Unfortunatly it's an ability we are not able to discuss the specifics on the forum. http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showpost.php?p=124173&postcount=56 Another little hint dropped on one. Given this common sense would dictate an ability for falcon that makes sense to. Know that each beast form has perks similar to that, and a different werepower (help werepower). Those specifics have to be discovered in game. My favorites are wolf and falcon. 3. http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showpost.php?p=104441&postcount=66 http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showthread.php?p=71076 http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showthread.php?p=9680 Those three posts give you some information on bless arms, it's one of the spells that people are not able to, by Immortal rule, to discuss openly on the forum as to it's specific or inner mechanics. 4. http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showpost.php?p=118537&postcount=3 Look under dwarf, that should about cover it, although I think there may be more too it. Already been mentioned, but I thought I'd share this tidbit: http://www.forsakenlands.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1511 I don't mind these threads, but the search function is in the upper right hand section of the forum. And what do you mean temples? Recall points with pits? In the hometowns. Healers? At every recall point, plus a few scattered around (i.e. ofcol has a healer). So make a character of each race, and just type recall. Then you get yourself to the location and can walk around to see where you are, you can't expect people to draw you a detailed map of all the home towns? And the home town list is kind of useless. Val Miran, All Falen_Dara, Slith, north of Val Miran Miruvhor, All Marak, Ogre, east a little, north a lot from Val Miran Shasarazade, Elf, North East of Rheydin Xymerria, Drow, South of Miruvhor Rheydin, All Illithid-Hive, Illithid, Under Miruvhor Tarandue, Gnome, South of Rheydin Shire, Halfling, West of Val Miran Gal-Ranidon, Duergar, Underdark Khorandain, Dwarf, West South of Rheydin Ralardia, Werebeast, South South of Rheydin Is that what you want? Murat
Thats easy Either play while wife is at work and dont let the gf know you play at all.You can do what I did and quit playin while u were dating then start playing again after u get married but promise to not to return to your old habits of playing 5-6 hours at a time. This way you still get to satisfy ur addiction but not get in hot water I've been toying around with different classes, trying to learn the difference in abilities of skills. WarriorCleric
A lot of the times the 'vets' get yelled at for hording information it's because the information requested takes minimal effort to figure out. This is one of the cases where it takes the bare minimum, no hours invested, no characters dedicated to a single cause, just a handful of double delete fodder. What is the difficulties with making a halfling warrior, recalling, looking, and deleting. Making a drow warrior, recalling, looking and deleting? This thread wasn't made to become a place to ask questions, it was a declaration to PM people with questions. PM Pali or IUTBS with your question if you want your free help. But in all fairness, I still tried to give you what you asked for, didn't I? My post wasn't intended to be patronizing, I'm guess I'm just a world class dick, I can't help it. I try to be nice and I offend, I've grown to accept this, so I'm going to continue to help people in my own special way, if they take offense, oh well, if they take the information as I have given it then it's all the better. It seems just as easy for me to say 'If you don't like your answers, ask better questions.' But remember that if you want others to do easy work for you, there's some phrase about beggars and choosing something with a wolf who's nose gets bigger when a cricket counts birds being born before their hatched on days ending in y. Think about that. Seriously, wasn't my intention to offend. WC
