Mahn tor

I trained a melee' date=' all skills, in 2 days flat not long ago. It's all about knowing smarter ways to train, AND you're less vulnerable.[/quote']

No kidding. I could not tell you how many times I've killed people training in Mahn-Tor.

yeah you're a hero.

When people trigger-train at a spot like the alarms in Mahn Tor, they often don't pay anywhere near as much attention to their surroundings as they normally do. This, combined with them not having their best armor on (and especially them being in a fight currently), makes them easy prey. If I've got a reason to kill them, why wouldn't I take such an opportunity when presented with it? I wasn't bragging about killing people there... I was pointing out that it's easy to do.

Pali... I am awfully ashamed that you, of all people, a veteran here since the beginning, would stoop to the level of killing an enemy whilst you had the upper hand! Why, if I knew it wasn't safe to train in obvious spots, let alone after making people mad at me by attacking their groups, bragging, or all around douche-baggry, I would never have started here all those years ago. I, for one, am appalled by your total lack of honour and responsibility, using the guise of "Role Play" and "Cabal Duties" to cover up your lack of decency and of your unscrupulous activities... all while playing a chaotic evil or purity follower, no doubt! (I am on to your tricks!)

Furthermore, I demand that you STOP HORDING all the information you've learned over the last eight years here, and turn them over to the pbase IMMEDIATELY so that they do not have to ask in game, or expend any such effort on their own part. God damn you for expecting people to use the search function of the forums to find what we need, after all, who really has mastered the use of keywords and sleuthing besides the captain of asses himself, WC?

Actually, I am sick that the Immortal staff here has decided that I may not simply have access to their code base, and I am going to rally a cause against this evil, oppressive and outwardly anti-American regime! Who in their right minds would allow something as drastically one sided as Rare or Unique equipment fall into the hands of those who put in the time, time that they no doubt deserted from raising their babies, going to work, or any other seemingly arbitrary duties?

If someone who plays this game (And I assure you, it is just a game so there is no reason to get bent out of shape over this!) wants to raise a family and work sixty hours a week, why should anyone else be allowed to, or let alone have the nerve to, spend more time playing than them? Don't even get me started on the fact that they benefit from it!

I am disgusted, hurt, and all around crippled by this display from you, Pali... you of all people. My future children will no longer be subjected to your heritage of pokes in the side... I hope you are happy, because you killed yet another dream of my life.

**** YOU!

You can get a constant source of mobs that don't hit you(very often). If you set up a trigger to open e;close e' date=' every time one of them disappears, you don't actually have to watch your computer...It's a really easy place to spam bash, trip, or any other skill that is used in combat.[/quote']

I still train at the scarecrows for all of that, for a couple of reasons. a) It's easy, and I'd rather take a stupid death and lose likely nothing, since I probably had nothing valuable, 2) scarecrows/crows never do any kind of damage really at all, and have a good amount of hp if you can weaken yourself enough to only hurt them a little bit, and %) If I get capped, it gives me a vengeance mission later, which I've actually followed up on with at least three characters, (ie, Dude kills me in the fields... takes 4k gold and my mithril, then we both pinn or get to level 40 or something, and I kill him, take bunches of shinies, he's mad.) This is even helpful because I have a problem with outright attacking someone unless I am evil. It's weird, but I like to be given a reason... otherwise it feels shoddy.

No, it's not. Leaving the computer and having eating/drinking triggers to keep you alive, is. The way I explained it, you'd still be at your computer, but you wouldn't have to keep opening and closing the door, manually.

Also, that door had the bonus of all the aggro mobs on the way in, plus a locked door. It wasn't much, but it's better than sitting out in the open with the crows/scarecrows.

If you're not at your computer or not paying attention to your computer enough to realize you're being talked to, you can expect to get smacked. When you're in, you're in. Fully immersed in the character, not turning it into some kind of bot. I've gotten my fair share of kills off people who thought they were safe in their guild or their clan or whatever out of the way area they were in.
