Celerity
Having a name in the HoF doesn't mean much to anyone unless we know something about the char. Since these are hall of famers (not a high score list), there should be an abundance of information on the chars. The problem is that no one person has enough information to produce a full biography for a char they didn't play. This thread is for the gathering of that information in hopes that a (true) biography can be put together. If you played, have any information (positions, length of career, relationships, accomplishments, anything), or even just know the forum tag of the player, please post about it in this thread. I think the forum tag of the player should be included in the heading of the HoF entry, along with race/class/cabal/era. As far as I can remember, this is how the HoF is broken up. I'm sure there are some mistakes here (please correct me): These HoFers do not actively play AND need bios (we really need info on these people): Falen - Falen drow?demon? of Chaos - famous for killing lots of people in very early 1.0, was banned for cheating??? Devanagari - Devanger?? Knight Leader Sigil Avatar that was a massive improvement on his ancestor Epurican..was the first SUCCESSFUL char in the long line of elf bmg knight sigil avatars played by this char. One of the original super-aggressive sigils, was unstoppable due to the combo's insane defense - turned into a demon and betrayed Knight (like all the later chars) Delvyn - Streantian Knight Leader Avatar (first to use this super bmg combo, later perfected by devanger (above))...turned demon and destroyed by a player quest---first experience with the rift and NEXUS (during the time of CHAOS in 1.0) Clavrus - Clavrus Leader?? of Chaos, couped Zaen with an assassinate, was very weak in early life Clariana - Clavrus Ally of Maleki, Leader of Savant, one of the first to effectively use mana charge and showed the absurdity of chain lightining at the time---became an imm with the same name---changed her name from moiraine.. Conkilled Dedric! Aneran - ?? Avatar?? Leader of Savant? - Fought Grishnak a lot? Aegir - ?? Old Knight, fought Gorath, Miscreant? Shandronas - Bryntryst last of the grey elves? blind? kind of a seer/prophet? Zaen - Zaen Leader of CHAOS, became an imm with the same name. Close ties with Maleki? Tetsunai - ?? Hunter Leader - killed a lot of Justices, especially fought with (my) human crusader (Kaylia--the first non-beta) a lot and the two fire giants (dedgerant, daargant??) - ally of Galadran? - first powerful Hunter? Lunima - ?? Avatar leader of Savant - mastered almost every spell, fought with the strong WMs a lot (smash, grishnak, trakanon) and was very, very long lived Siddion - ?? Avatar Knight Leader - helped revived Knight in the face of a very powerful CHAOS of the time (Erigar (celerity), Phaedrous (crypt))...worked a lot with human paladin Kuereni?? (thedraconianpoet), Khylandri (ninja ??), and Epurican (devanger's first elf bmg)...was basically unstoppable due to avatar + knight + giant + cleric defense These HoFers show up occassionally but do not actively play (may be able to write their own bios): Lethereal - Lethereal Aymen - TyeDye Hersnaie - Jhyral Grishnak - Grishnak Aberrant - Grishnak Gorthae - Grishnak Zenizen - old_man Maleki - old_man Calandra - (wanted)ninja Tyroa - IB4M These HoFers still play (and should finish the bios for their chars): Myrek - Myrek Trakanon - auzzie Kalith - auzzie Kentry - auzzie These entries are finished: Dunlith - Carth - finished Lathander - EyeSeeU - finished Miscreant - old_man - finished Smash - Crypticant - finished Orealt - Sirant - finished Malignant - Mali - finished Harishin - Odoacer - finished Gorath - Virigoth - finished Dedric - Celerity - finished Karman / Gehenna - Iusedtobesomebody?? - finished edit: Updated edit2: Updated again
Pali
Tetsunai was at first Galadran's mentor, hugely influential in Galadran's decision to join the Hunters, and the two had one of the very few good-evil friendships I've seen here (when they first met, Galadran wasn't even aware of Tetsunai's evil nature and only learned of it after a relationship had been formed... I was too newb then to know the consider command ). Together, Tetsunai and Galadran were a deadly team of assassins, and bounty after bounty fell to the blades of these ninjas. Once Galadran was forced to leave the Hunters, Tetsunai risked his new Immortal leader's displeasure by not only refusing to hunt Galadran down, but by actually warning the Lightwalker ninja about the new god's command that all Hunters seek his head - a warning that ended up saving Galadran's life many times and causing the deaths of numerous Hunters who thought their prey ignorant of their intentions. The two did clash on a few occasions when Tetsunai was tasked to hunt a friend of Galadran's, with an equal number of victories and losses between them, until they decided that neither wanted to have such a foe in the shadows and that in the future, neither would impede the other's actions, regardless of what they were. For a time, their friendship began to reform, but it would not last long. Tetsunai was convinced into becoming one of the Dreadlords by Crypticant, agreeing to the position because he thought it would make him a greater Hunter (which it did). The only real loss to him from accepting the demon's offer was the final ending of his friendship with Galadran, who had over the years after his banishment from the Hunters become more devoted to the Light and viewed Tetsunai's naming as a Dreadlord as a line that should not have been crossed and could not be forgiven. The two exchanged very harsh words in their last meeting, and their friendship was finally over. The two never saw each other again. Dunlith, as I recall, was proclaimed King of Marak. He was the central figure of the Theran Winds, and I believe an avatar as well. Lunima was indeed both avatar and Savant leader.
Iusedtobesomebody
Harishin- Odoacer I believe, might be hard to get that bio Dunlith- Carth, yes Chieftain of Marak, the Bull of Theran Wind Grishnak- Grishnak Myrek- Myrek, drow/undead, Master of Maledictive Reasoning, co-founder of original Academy Lethereal- Lethereal was her forum name, then Dymerria Clariana was Moiraine initially I thought Devanagari was a druid? Wasn't Grishnak Gorthae too? Aymen was Savant then Herald then Royal of Tarandue, married to Bellia More later
EyeSeeU
I sent a bio to Malchaeius regarding Lathander, I have recently got a new computer so a lot of my FL info did not make it despite my best efforts. Here is some of it... Lathander Gullykin was born like most halflings from the shire. He was quite fond at entertaining the people in it, so he became a bard. At a young age Lathander began to keep personal records of wars and important events that transpired in Aabahran. He never let the people become ignorant with what was going on in the world. Lathander was a friend to all and a risk taker. As time passed and he became a master bard and slowly his popularity began to rise. Fame gave birth from Lathander Gullykin the Master Bard to Lathander Gullykin the Keeper of the Phoenix, this impart was due to his flaming bird friend name Rednehtal. Red as Lathander called him for short never left his side. Lathander led a very eventful life, from helping to free the Insane Warrior Poet Athaekeetha to having help built the library of the Heraldic. Shortly after the library was built and Aabahran had a place to record history for eternity, Lathander became its leader. Like the wind blows the enrollment of the library flourished with scribes. Lathander even started doing personal interviews of the most powerful mortals of his time and recorded them, and then shared them with the people of Aabahran. Many years passed and Lathander kept writing as did all the Heralds, however the Mighty Lord Sirant felt that Lathander could no longer be known as simply "the Keeper of the Phoenix". So Lord Sirant decreed that Lathander be knownst to all as Lathander Gullykin the Undying Voice of Thera, Gallant Leader of the Heraldic for his selflessness. At this point Lathander could have died a happy man however one dark lord felt the need to enslave Lathander. Lathander despite the best efforts of many mortals that tried to free him never escaped this enslavement and he died there lonely but complete. A complete description will follow and a bit more information.

Anoneemus
Dunlith has popped in on the forums from time to time. It does surprise me that the players of these characters wouldn't want to offer a bio, I enjoyed reading the ones that were finished.
I-Brake-4-Minotaurs
Man, you'd think someone would have the decency to email me about writing a bio or something. But NOOOOO, thanks guys.
Celerity
Pali, why don't write tetsunai's bio for us? :D:D so with Ib4m + lath...maybe three down!!

Celerity
you know more about him than we do, so just write about knight, some background (childhood, before knight), why you are famous (what made you so strong), death, maybe mention alternative dimension version of tyroa at the end... a-guitarist
I'm not sure how good it will be. I even forgot what my title was. Who the hell are you? a-g
I-Brake-4-Minotaurs
Who the hell are you? a-g That's a very good question. IB4m it means: I'm This seemingly cryptic looking term is actually the word "I'm" (the contraction of "I am"). When you see "IB4m" online, it's most likely because the statement "I am" has been distorted due to different computer programs rendering the apostrophe differently. In other words, the reason this term appears as IB4m instead of I'm is because of gremlins. Gremlins are mysterious characters that sometimes appear on your computer screen, in text documents, or in e-mail messages. For example, if you type a word with an apostrophe using Microsoft Word and then copy it over into HTML, the apostrophe may appear as a small box instead. The same thing happened years ago when this code " & n b s p ; " suddenly appeared all over the Web (which is actually the HTML code for the "&" sign). Some browsers didn’t interpret the HTML code for the "&" sign correctly so they displayed the actual cryptic looking code. FYI: I've seen several forums where people from different countries post questions and it appears that the computer software running the forum is interpreting "I’m" as "IB4m" – I also saw "I’d" rendered as "IB4d" (example link below). The interesting thing is that it even goes a step further because in the forum it is spelled as: "…first of all I´d like to appologise for my English, but I´m from Portugal..." but when it is interpreted by Google software as a search result, it is seen as: "…first of all IB4d like to appologise for my English, but IB4m from Portugal…" You'd think they could figure this out by now. This is one of many reasons why PDF is so popular and why Web developers regularly use plain text.
Pali
Pali, why don't write tetsunai's bio for us? :D:D so with Ib4m + lath...maybe three down!! Because what I posted here is literally all I can remember about the character. One of the things about good/evil friendships is you try not to get into discussions about why you do what you do... huge ideological differences crop up if you do. Dead Voodoo Doll
Maybe I'm mistaken on that. Ask Cryt, he imm'ed Zaen so he'd know. But I'm pretty sure Clavrus, his name in the FL IRC was his ninja, then came Zaen, his eventual name on the forums, his battlemage, then Clariana, his invoker, then whatever demon immortal they made up for him for a short time, started with a V?
