Question about aiming...

So I've gotten a little confused with how to aim in pk. Training defenses on scarecrows I figured out. "kill 2.scarecrow/kill 2.crow" or whatever number you want to aim at. I think even the "aim" command works.

But what about with real players and their slaves/pets? like if they are fighting me and they flee so I'm aiming at the slave, then they come back in, how do I re-aim at the person without having to flee, re-enter and re-initiate? I tried "murder x" and all it would give me was "your doing the best you can!" when I saw I was hitting their slave and with the command "aim x" same thing. Is the only solution to flee and re enter? I don't understand this...maybe I'm just not using the right command, but this has happened to me over and over. Help?

Celery has it covered, outside that I aim for the the part of the bowl between the water and the rim.

You can also use just #. without anything after the point. I'm not positive, but if you walk in, and they have one charmie, and no other mobs exist, then k 3. should work, providing you have no charmies. If they walked in with one charmie and attacked, 2. should work.

just use kill "persons name". You will hit the thing you want just like mobs. Oh be sure autoaim is on though. Lets see...how do you do this....try help 'auto', or help 'autoaim' one of those should give you a command where all the auto stuff shows up and you can see which things you have automatically set. Hope that helps.

this is how it starts because a necro goes in, then it all follows him. Same with rangers. The last thing to come in is the 1. slot.

set A:

ZOMBIE1 (1.)

ZOMBIE2 (2.)

ZOMBIE3 (3.)

GOLEM 1 (4.)

GOLEM 2 (5.)

Necro (6.)

so necro flees and returns and the order is changed

necro

zombie

zombie

zombie

golem

golem

Ok, I've done that "kill player" but it never worked. I always just got back, "You're doing the best you can!" which means to the game, I was already fighting them....that's what I was trying to figure out.

WC's thing might work though...we'll see.

One thing to remember is they have to be engaged on you at the time. If they flee - re-enter with autoassist off you can't use murder to engage - you can however use certain skills and spells (like dirt kick) which will get them engaged on you, and then use murder to retarget,

Did no one else see this? Because it made me giggle a little.

I think he wants to hit other players or hit multiple things in a room (changing from one to the other.)

the command is hit

eg:

Thorm's blood guard attacks me.

Thorm attacks me.

Im attacking the Blood guard.

o all h thorm (will send beasts to hit thorm and not the blood guard they were attacking.)

h thorm (will get me attacking thorm and not the blood guard.)

With scarecrows you'd obviously just go hit 2.scare or h 3.crow and so forth.

I think this is what you were after.

EDIT: NB Obviously only works once combat has been initiated!

I don't see Celerity when it's written here, I see Celery. I know what the word Celerity means, when I see it in other situations and places I read it as Celerity, but in these forums, and I don't know why, I read it as Celery, always.

Because I know who Celery is, and despite her playing a wide range of characters, she is noted as being the fire giant. So what I think of when I see a post by Celerity is a giant stalk of burning celery, sometimes with a badge, but usually not.

I guess I'm just strange.

Something that annoys me about this.

To attack a player you MUST type murder. Kill doesn't work. But for the purpose of re-aiming, Murder does not work and Kill does.

Wtf? Can we let murder work for re-aiming too or would that mess things up? Because the mode change kinda messes me up. Lol
