question about saves

A little tip for fighting a shaman (use at your own risk, it is a double-edged sword!) and something I do a lot. After fighting certain shaman enough so that I get a grasp on their fighting style, those that open with deteriorate, I remove my saves EQ just prior to battling so that I have next to no saves, so that their deteriorate lands easily and it drops my saves by a very small number. Then I wear my saves EQ again, and that way it's as though deteriorate has done next to nothing to dent my saves.

It does carry a risk, but I've only ever seen one shaman capitalise on it, and that was Kyzarius' Nexus Shaman when I fought him with Pamiyn. We fought for some time, and he couldn't land his mals, as I kept removing/wearing EQ to stop deteriorate. At one point he looked at me, saw me missing a ton of EQ pieces and just cast blind. No saves + no EQ + blind = not nice. :D

Also, getting ridiculously high saves in any area (more than -60 after combining saves-versus-spell I'd say) is just overkill IMO.

yah, call lightning, I think I will try it, I didn't really spam it up and need to master it. also its very limited (out doors, bad weather, takes like 30 control weathers to be able to cast the spell) but if it does good damage, it'll be worht it :)

"Lotho tells you: It took Anume 7 attempts to land blasphemy on me."

It was eight, get it right ;)

I had the best possible saves equipment in the game.. it was ridiculous. But I was not immune, Triathix managed to land something nasty, which almost one-rounded my halfling Knight healer.

I had so much respect for you as a player, and then you go and post this?! Man! Owning up to playing a healer is like owning up to having chlamydia.
