I thought the plot was a good idea and I dealt with the torments, sucked sometimes, but I dealt with it. Now what would have really been great: everyone who accepted the mark were dragged kicking and screaming to hell. Seriously, RP wise, that is how it should have went down. You sell your soul to a demon. It wins.

Malch. I really, really, really, really appreciate all the hard work you and the other imms do. I love this place. Anything I have said about the plot was simply and truly worry that people were jumping ship. With that being said, I am already seeing more people than I have in recent memory. The only thing I can say to "balance" the good vs. evil thing is this: We need a GOOD IMM. I think that would add a lot of flavor. Other than that. I have no complaints. This place wouldn't be the same without Malch, Anume, Gradrel, etc. Just wouldn't.

MASSIVE PROPS!

This plot, though definitely a pain to my current char, was still enjoyed by me as a player none the less. It has inspired an rp angle for my next char I have lined up as well as given me a new rp choice to go with for my current char. My only regret is that my playing times never synced well with the events and am rather sad I wasn't able to accomplish what I wanted during the plot.

To the imms, all of you, my hat is off to you for the wonderful job you all did and the extrodinary amount of time I know it took to orchestrate this whole thing. I look forward to being one of the first few to take you up on the player-centric rp plot! :D

Isn't there a Knight (good) Imm? Shows up on the wizlist anyway

There are immortals always around.

Props to grad for being so visible, same with Zhork.

Even saw Lytholm the other day.

Jac hasnt been seen for a wee while. But Malch and Anume will fill all roles for cabals/apps and so forth when the other imms are busy.

I don't think it was the fact that it was a global plot, but more so a plot that made the gaming experience near impossible to enjoy when death was the only thing to look forward to. The plot idea and concept, as I said before, I liked a lot and thought it was great. The style and method it was delivered may have been a bit too harsh. It seemed to focus on the destruction of one alignment, which eliminated a lot of players as the mark did not agree with their RP.

Are those that accepted the mark going to have a repercussion for selling their soul or did they just get a free ride? If not, then its clear it was designed to destroy and eliminate the goodies, which is hardly fun for good aligned and even worse for those that aren't.

Over all, a well thought plot, but not a favorite. Don't get discouraged that the playerbase didn't enjoy all aspects of the plot, maybe use that when coming up with another plot or concept.

I appreciate all the hard work of the Imms. I loved the quest. I think that people who did not enjoy the quest had an easy ticket out of the majority of the "trouble." They could take the mark. Goodies could've taken the mark. Easily justifiable RP. There are infinite possibilities, one that comes to mind? "I can't deal with this, not right now. I have a family with kids to feed and with this famine? ...If I died my family would surely follow. I take the mark for them." Bam! Not every goodie is some die-hard superhero. They're just good people, subject to all the character flaws/traits as everyone else. They're just nicer about it (to other goods).

Sorry the plot didn't go as expected/hoped. I'm sorry to hear your done with the global plots, but its likely that the more player specific plots will be just as fun.

I'll admit I complained about the torments. And they caused my current to basically sit in one area, and not seek any trouble because I refused to use the mark.

However it did add a bit of spice if it was irritating, to say the least :D

Cheers for all the work and all, we do appreciate it, but sometimes it does get a little over the top when it runs for the length of time it did.

Just a thought. Only caused me one death so I wasnt to worried about it.

Jacobis. Who is never around' date=' visibly at least, in my experience. No flaming, just simple observation.[/quote']

Father Jacobis was kidnapped and impersonated by Malchaeius. He is currently being tortured by Anume. He was still able to sneak out severely damaged notes to all warning of this.

No. It is nothing like that. I just came to the realization that we have a diverse group of players who play for different reasons. The work versus reward for doing one of these things just did not even out for me – it may even out for other staff members, and I will give them all of the aid that they need.

Some players do not like to be forced to react to their gaming world - some enjoy a more passive gaming experience. In trying to make the world feel alive, and everyone feel a part of the history, I only succeeded in alienating a portion of the playerbase. Thus, I had an epiphany. The most prudent solution was the simplest one – player-centric instead of global-centric.

While I feel a pain that you did not get a reward from your effort, I am glad that you will still be doing your work on a player size scale. While I did waste some of your time when you did Awendris, I will never forget that character or my time here. Nor will I forget the huge mistake I made that day.

Thanks!

lol the 1000 deaths the torments caused everyone does not = you not using a helm.

I want atleast 10 deaths per char who used those torments to their advantage :P

I want to address something about this question - that of "punishment" for those who did not get the mark of the demon. For the time being, my official stance on this is as follows:

The desire for "punishment" of those who were not marked is Out Of Character. People who asked for this are doing so because their characters were not marked, and therefore had a more difficult time due to the demands of their choosen roleplay; they felt the suffering of their characters decision. The In Character punishment for those who were marked is quite clear - they will no longer have their souls. Now when, and if, I choose to do something more to those who got marked, it will be because of Roleplay and not due to the Out Of Character urgings of those who are seeking some sort misplaced "revenge" for the completely optional "hard times" they experienced because they stuck to their character's roleplay.

Not true at all, Malch. I am positive many of us expected Malch(IG) to be utterly pissed about the failure he and the marked one's had. I have interacted with him on MANY characters and he is not a " Oh well maybe next time " kind of guy. He would be pissed.

Aulian was clearly being sarcastic, but in the same sense, many characters(IG) did not accept the mark because it is probably not going to be as good as they may think to take the easy road. Anyone who had their souls traded for the easy road could RP a way to get it back or Malch(IG) could use it as leverage for something else. Or, my personal fav. idea, Malch could torture the souls and those that were marked would get dealt damage at random times. Nothing HUGE, but like a 100hp taken away every random amount of hours. Makes sense and follows the Demon God's persona perfectly.

What it comes down to is whether or not you want to follow it up with more or if you are done with the plot or its aftermath.
