Icor
Photoshop CS3 + WACOM Intuos. Have barely any time to play FL anymore... can't get on FL at school (not that I could play effectively from school anyway), but god, they ENCOURAGE me to doodle, which is sweeeeeeeet. I will never play two characters at once AGAIN. NEVER AGAIN! Eshaine "commissioned" me to do a male and female ogre painting for the FL web site, just so that people could see the race. Will have to do elves and everything else later, maybe. Here's the female. Probably could be better, but dang. You just cannot put broad shoulders on a female figure, it is completely unorthodox. I messed around for a lonnnnng time trying to put big shoulders on there. Sorry. Doesn't work, it just ends up looking like a male. Females aren't just females because of their boobs, K? K. Gonna whip up the male soon. I might sketch all of these and color them later. Prepare for muddy-gray colors for these Ogres.

Iusedtobesomebody
Crap, not another ogre ranger.... Nice work, btw.
Icor
Used Zrothum's avatar picture as a reference. What do you mean not another Ogre Ranger? I thought that was the only class they could be.
Mudder
Does she have fangs? Her ears seem pointed like an elf. I always pictured ogres a little more... Hearty. Any way to add some weight? You've got the ugly down pretty good. I too picture ogres with fangs, but not vampiric-like. More like dull tusks, similar to slightly oversized teeth protruding UP from the bottom jaw. Hate to be critical. This is awesome. Though, if its on the site I just thought i'd put in my 2cents. yxlist
That's tight. Your art work reminds me of this other fantasy artist, I can't think of his name right off, he did a lot of work for Dungeon's and Dragons, and for White Wolf, also. Pretty sweet, good job, and its awesome that you help out the game with visuals like this.

Icor
Maybe I didn't mean "broad" so much as "chunky".

f0xx
The picture is great, I always imagine Ogres, even female ogres, much more heavy (fat). And dunno why you put those teeth
Mudder
Yeah. I guess i'm just a Warcraft kinda guy. Since the first orc I ever saw was from Warcraft... I also mix that with a Shrek sort of character for an ogre.
f0xx
Orcs? Why orcs when there are ogres in warcraft too? The way I imagine them actually is big, fat... and big. They are giants after all. Sometimes with two heads even, but that is an Ettin perhaps. Orcs are more human like, just much more ugly Shrek is a good example of ogre too I think and his girl is not a bad example for female ogre. WagesofSin
While an awesome drawing(your skill is exceptional), this just doesn't look like an ogre to me. I always pictured them more chunky and muscle-bound, with bad hygene too! Maybe use female bodybuilders as a source?
Celerity
add some sporadic fur and random mutations and you have a feral!

Mali
Icor, Please refer to Anume's original request, which concisely and pointedly stated "naked ogre drawings for website ASAP". Thanks,
Ali_gmud
Am I the only one whom pictures ogres to look like the ones from the warcraft games, fat bellies, always half naked, and most of the two having two heads. What I really want to see, is a Illithid, that would surely shake up my mind abit.

Those two were always hard for me to imagine. And another thing, when a race is distinct to be large or small, it is always good putting something in the backgroung so people can make comparison from a size viewpoint. Mudder
Except Illithids don't have hands. They have tentacles. Hence, they can't wield weapons. I imagine a mass of tentacles with a head (similar to the cthulhu pic) and no visible feet or anything, they just kinda slide around. Lol. Makes sense in my head, doubt it would look right as a visual.
f0xx
The cthulhu picture is good actually, I would just take his head (bran and tentacles) and call it an Illithid
Dizz
I think the ogre picture is a really good drawing, but not for an ogre. It could fit a feral much better. Give that girl some hips! She needs a slack belly and sorry guys... Slack boobs. Ogres don't wear bras. I could imagine heavy beadwork and hair ornamentation. They don't need to be fat, but muscular. Trudgebull is a great example, or at least Janet Reno.
