LSD, I think (may be wrong here, might be confusing it wiht another) if a fat soliuable drug. Meaning, it stays in your fat when you've had enough of it. why is this a problem? As you get active, start sweating and using the fat (stored energy)... you'll unleash the drugs into your system that you've been covertly storing. So, if this is the drug I'm thinking of, expect some strange trips of varying degrees.

Congrats on the awakening to yourself. I don't know if you would have ended in a cell, but you can make that conclusion. You did, and you've taken steps to change it. Takes balls to do that.

I have eaten enough acid to disagree with this. I am a large man (260) and I have never sweated into a trip.

Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it won't happen to others.

ACID Misconception VII

The danger of this drug is the fact that it isn't grown naturally, it's created in a lab. Probably by people who don't have degrees in the science needed. So you're essentially putting your life, when you take it, in the hands of someone who is probably testing earlier merchandise while he's making the batch you're consuming.

So, sure, you can't "OD" on Acid. But... you can rewire your brain on it. Not because all of it will do it, but because Johnny Triptard making your dips probably added something to it that isn't supposed to be there. Psychedelics affect the brain, which is virgin territory for a lot of science (at least with brain chemicals). Nueroleptic Drugs are supposed to do certain things in there by modifying chemicals and connections... however, they don't know what they're doing exactly... so if PhDs working for YEARS on this stuff can't figure it out yet... odds of some stoned-drooler sitting in a shed in the middle of a swamp figuring it out are about ... none.

Further, at 260, it probably won't bother you until you lose a lot of weight (probably 60-80 lbs), because it is stored in your fat, not on it. Sweat doesn't do much, but when you're down to using the fat you have, as in, actually using it, no pretending to, that's when you'll find the trips coming back.

Also, that link talks about Telekinetic powers and what not by taking it... I'll just call horse**** right there. I may buy the being more aware of what's around you (not sensing the future) as I have seen two people who never met share a trip and be aware of things the rest of us (sober) weren't.

But, what it comes down to is this: It isn't fun to wind up dead or injured. Avoid it. If you want to experience whatever you think it is (I've heard altered states of consciousness, spirituality, science as excuses to using them), do it with people you can trust completely and who are stone cold sober themselves. In the end, I've been straight up lied to about the affects of drugs because these "friends" wanted me to take them with them. I ended up being in situations (physically, mentally and chemically) I NEVER wanted to be in.

If you want those mind situations to happen to you without breaking laws, there are many ways it can be done without ingesting anything.... all it takes is a true desire to experience something spiritual, scientific, or mind altering... not just an urge to get ****ed up.

a-g you sound bitter....were you molested in college while experimenting with these substances? :-(

No, but I was told, like many people, "You don't get high your first time.", another time it was, "All it does is change the way the colours bounce off things.", another time, "No, man, you can totally drive after that much." (PHYSICAL) another time, "Don't worry, man... it always makes you happy." (MENTAL)

All, though, were chemical. Lied to about the duration of the drugs, along with residual affects.

I don't care if you want to have your jollies dipping, snorting, shooting, or whatever... just know the facts before you do it and do it safely... or no sympathy from me. In this day and age, anyone is capable of surfing the web and finding legitimate, hard, proven information (my link wasn't technically these, but most druggies will take that site as gospel anyways.)

I just don't think that anyone should talk about the null effects of drugs to a minor without someone coming with something more scientific than "Not what I heard."

Anyways... I've lived the life of a "trip" from the ages of 19 till 25. I'm really not too keen on anyone else living it for a few hours, but I wouldn't give up what I went through for anything. It's an experience having what you see and what is there not lining up, though, I'll tell you that much.

I've got nothing against people doing drugs (it'd be rather hypocritical of me ;)), but I fully agree with A-G's cautionary words. People should know what they are doing before they do it. Screw your health up if you want to, but be aware of what you are doing.
