Zrothum
I have some very strong German catholic ties in my ancestry. One of which is Anna Katherine Emmerich. She was a nun in Germany who underwent a documented case of Stigmata. She had the odd 'abilty' to heal sick people, taking on the sick upon herself. She became bed ridden at a later time and a novelist came to her bedside when she started having "visions." A book was published with these vision entitled 'The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ" Mel GIbson read this book and proceeded to make his movie "The Passion" Another interesting relationship I have is with the VonTrap family from the "Sound of Music" the oldest daughter was something like my great, great, great grandmothers daughter. Any of those interested in Anna Katherine can read about her here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Catherine_Emmerich

HouselessRogue
I'm mostly Italian and Sioux. The rest of me is a mix of this and that. Nothing interesting in my heritage as far as I know. My great grandpa was in the mob. No one famous. No Gotti or anything.

Aulian
Ah take too long to explain. But basically: One of the oldest families from ireland. Hereditry titles, big land holdings, old castle, about 50th in line to inherit (due to more direct bloodlines from sons rather then daughters which is my line) Edit: So when I DO inherit, i'll expect to be refered to as Lord thank you. Mudder
I believe someone was related to the mob. He could probably take care of the other 49 who inherit before you.
a-guitarist
Related to a guy that had a large role in the design and production of the first Predator Drones. Not really heritage. EyeSeeU
I am related to this guy in some vast way shape or form...Hans Hahn (1879 - 1934) was an Austrian mathematician who made many contributions to functional analysis, topology, set theory, the calculus of variations, real analysis, and order theory. He was also actively interested in philosophy, being a member of the Vienna Circle. Hahn's contributions to mathematics include the famous Hahn-Banach theorem and (independently of Banach and Steinhaus) the uniform boundedness principle. Other theorems are the Hahn decomposition theorem, the Vitali-Hahn-Saks theorem, the Hahn-Mazurkiewicz theorem and the Hahn embedding theorem. Being that I am Austrian and German and my last name is Hahn and my mothers father and such were from germany/austria I sorta believe my mom.
