Grosek_
Well, I wanted to try my hand at some RP, and did my best. I don't know, it's a new deal for me but thanks to the help of the Staff and some of the great players here... I feel it was both a successful learning experience and a lot of fun. I did, however, back myself in to a corner that weeks after still cannot recover from. A lot of effort in both changes to the character by IMMS from requests and several mock emotes left him as quite a unique guy, but without valid RP I can't move forward. I wanted to do so a bit more gracefully, but I kind of dreaded any interaction because I just couldn't figure out how to go about it after certain events. Thank you to everyone of whom interacted with him. I don't really want to go in to specifics, but you all know who you are. There are two specifically that have taught me a great deal about RP and general classiness. One has fangs. (not you Celerity, I didn't mean fangs in real life.... i meant in the game. ) I have to take sort of a break, not because I want to, but because my internet connection where I am allows for RP... but not PK. Right now, unfortunately, they go hand in hand and I can't stand up to the torments and players since when a lot of text scrolls through my screen I get locked up. Oddly enough, Warhammer works fine and I will bide my time with that until I can manage to get a better connection. On a side note, one negative comment I would have is all the complaining recently about the torments and plot along with some other things. Allow me to point out the following things : Correct me if I am wrong but: -> Up until a year or so ago, the current IMP didn't know how to code much but somehow managed to become damned good at what he is doing. Not only does that take time, but it is VERY hard to do without the drive to do it. We've seen more bugfixes and addons within the last six months, then we have in the last few years. -> On top of the above, somehow maintenance and plots STILL get thought of an done. Do you all remember how the Vampire Tombs were introduced? We recieved a note saying there was a wierd tree to the west of Val Miran. Now, recently, every new area has an indepth story and month or longer plot to go with it. -> IMMS do like to have morts, because frankly... being an IMM grows dull after a little while. Imagine only using a herald for a year or longer. An IMM is a herald with more emotes, basically. (well, more things, but yeah... that is what WE want them to be.) I can't help but appreciate Zhokril, Ghadrel (sp?), and ESHAINE! for the amount of time they put on these characters. It is hard not to just play your mortal all the time. I don't know. Be glad you still have a mud to play on. Anything else is just a perk few muds have. I am glad that during the Virigoth schism, I didn't get the mud, like I tried to. It would have shut down a while ago. (As it would have in most of our hands.) Keep in mind that Eshaine and Malch are IT... the last. Show a bit of appreciation, because when they go, so does the mud most likely.
Zrothum
when they go' date=' so does the mud most likely.[/quote'] Nah, it's in my contract. When Malchaeius came over to my house two months ago asking if I'd like to play again, we signed a legally binding contract stating that I would be the next in line to inherit the world. Mmm, capatliism baby, this place is a gold mine! Heh. In all seriousness - I appreciated Thorm and his very active role in what was going on when I came back here as a player. I found myself quickly wanting to know more and be involved. I've enjoyed every minute of it. Will be sad not seeing you around much more. And ditto on the IMM appreciation. Evangelion
Sorry for just dumping that Pillar of Aabahran stuff on you - it seemed like a good idea at the time.
