well its been fun, but not really

I'm done with this mud. I've been here almost a year now and have learned alot, but the biggest thing I learned was the players who are here, of the 8 or so that are usually on, 6 are just jerks. I can understand the whole pk thing, and I've made character after character trying to get better, dying alot, and losing lots of equipment that I put hours and hours into over and over and over.

the first time I finally killed someone who had killed me 5 times, not 10 minutes later I get ganged banged and full looted. I just don't have time for this. I have a full time job and a family and the time I do get on here is just wasted

when people who obviously have an edge (from equipment and just knowing the game better) spam attack/kill/full loot and make up a really lame RP excuse as to why (for example...a neutral char told me he killed me after I fought an elf and had to flee at 90 hps blind that he did it because I bothered him with my petty hatreds...which was me saying I just killed that guy). This was immediately after the said neutral character and I had agreed to hunt, so of course I wasn't expecting anything of the sort. So the trash has just lost another player, which is sad, cuz this is a great game, with an itty bitty little playerbase, and it just got smaller.

Let me say some people have been really cool. The guy who plays Aelleor, the Ara player, and the perniciant player are all A+ in my book, among quite a few others. But the quite a few people who play for the childish fun of ruining some one elses day, well, enjoy your empty mud.

Sorry to see you go. I saw your fights with the elf, good stuff. But why did he kill you 5 times? Sounds pretty trashy to me....did he keep coming after you, or were you coming after him and dying each time? Glad you finally got him though...sucks about what happened.

Don't leave bro...stuff like this happens all the time. Sounds like you have a good handle on what's up in game. Don't let one or two idiots run you off bro.

soon as i was in his pk range with both my last two chars he attacked me, I attacked back, etc etc etc. the only reason I did manage to finally kill him was i bought a gharnizon and torments helped. but no, i'm done, I really have more important stuff to focus on and not have my time wasted here. Thanks for the encouraging words.

Yxlist, I've known at least one of your characters. And you can find the good players everywhere. I had a VERY difficult time the other day and I did log off because of it. It happens, and I did make a post awhile back about it. Did you do anything that would have a) pissed this character off, feel cheated or did he just hunt you? If he hunted you more than once under level 40, then that's multikilling and you can note to the imms about it.

I know you have promise. You showed more promise than I ever did with a first char. I -am- trying to convince you to stay, but I'm not going to kill myself if you don't. Just think, if you continue to play, and play classy (I'm sure you have been) more people will more likely class up. I personally treat others how I wanna be treated, until they've earned otherwise and I know other people (specific people, not a generalization) who have the exact same view.

I'm not sure who you play or what the situation is, but you really can cool off, roll a good if you haven't and find the people who are fun to be around. It sounds kind of childish, but I have actually stopped pking/rping/interacting with certain characters that have only ever been complete garbage to me. Try it, it might work to make your experience here better.

As Eshaine said, talk to the immortals, they are here for a reason and they do a damn good job, not to mention that sometimes you need a neutral point of view.

As for the trashy players, there will be such in every game you play, but how many games will be as good as FL? I hope you change your mind and stay.
