You remember those guys from the budweiser commercials 8 years ago... the "waaaazzzaaaaaaaap" guys? Well theyre back... and i thought it was too funny... even if its political. I dont think anyone really thinks the country is going in the right direction right now whether youre a republican...democrat... independent... or anythin in between... but this commercial is definitely slanted so some people are not goin to find it as funny as others. STILL... thought id share for a few laughs

Wazzap guys then and now

obama is nothing but an image pasted on top of a bunch of demonstratably bad policies. hell, most obama voters can't even point out any actual facts about his policy plans beyond "yay he wants to help the middle class!" (regardless of the fact the many of his policies have been tried in the past, and have been shown to have the exact opposite effect on the middle class). obama is simply taking the same failed policies offered by past presidents (cough FDR's new deal cough) and dressing them up to appeal to a new generation of clueless voters.

Give me one good reason Aulian, a legitimate one, that proves he would be good for a country you aren't even a part of. I personally don't relish socialism, and dancing well isn't going to help Americans.

Obama willingly stated that would see the coal industry go bankrupt. Fifty percent of American energy comes from the coal industry, not to mention that hundreds of thousands of workers that make their living and feed their families in this employment. --> http://www.capoliticalnews.com/s/spip.php?article997

Obama wants to instill a system where blacks will receive welfare payment while society works hard to pay taxes. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b78_1224967862

I have nothing against blacks, neither do I have anything against you Aulian. But I live in this country, and I voted. I will not live in a socialist society.

And for those of you who will move to Europe, enjoy the Alps, the chocolate, the French baguettes. But remember, if it wasn't for capitalist America, Europe would be under Aryan or Soviet rule.

You do realize that the New Deal pulled America out of the Great Depression, right? I'd hardly call it a failed policy.

P.S. The coal industry eventually will need to be abandoned, regardless of how many people it employs, because of how badly it is screwing the environment. It is vital that we change our energy sources from the oil/coal base that they are now to renewable, cleaner sources, both to end our dependence on other countries as sources of such and to keep the environment where it is now instead of melting the ice caps.

Not expressing an opinion one way or another on this debate, but that statement really is not true. What it did do was help out some people with economic hardships and even more so give people more faith in the democratic system. But what finally ended the Depression in the US and many other countries was WWII. Unemployment remained in the double-digits in the US until 1941 when WWII created an enormous amount of defense-related jobs. During WWII the majority of the New Deal programs were discontinued by the Conservative Coalition (the opponents of the New Deal in Congress).

“After John McCain said he’d like to ‘transition away from coal entirely,’ his campaign is hardly in a position to criticize a coal-state Senator like Barack Obama, who has outlined a $150 billion investment in clean coal and other technologies to create jobs and build a new energy economy,” Ohio Governor Ted Strickland (D) said in response.

1:57 of John McCain in the past proposing to put the Coal Industry out of business in 2005.

You already live in a socialist society... U.S just socialized the debt of banks... public school system and free lunch... social security... etc. Also... Palin has been harpin on this whole spreading the wealth buzzphrase that is supposed to be socialist... when she has done pretty much the same damn thing herself in Alaska. Hotair is a very conservative blog btw... cuz i dont like it when people say "oh that website is biased.. thats why they are slamming her.. and they are not credible"... its just i think that this was put out by them before she was choosen as VP... hahaha woops?

This is just why i hate politics... people are just plain hypocrites.. from the left (Obama sayin he was goin to accept public funds until... oops... i can make more money if i opt out... cha-CHING!) to the right (McCain's IRI having funded one of Khalidi's Palestinian organizations)... and whats sad is most people are dumb enough to fall for these types of misleading crap.... i wish theyd focus on real issues.

Dude dont get me wrong, Im not calling you out or anything, Im on the other side of the world, I have NO IDEA, im just interested to know what you americans think of each and for what reason.

As of "socialisim" after watching that SICKO doco I cant imagine not having socialized healthcare... My mother recently had cancer, with your system we would of had to sell everything, live on the streets with the amount the treatment would of cost without the governments help.

Iconz...socialism, communism, and any other god damned government group you can think of is in America. The whole point of America is freedom. Now, I have some reservations about that because certain people can worm their way about to take advantage of their 'freedoms' to do whatever they want.

And for the record, I don't think much of Palin. And I also don't think McCain will die in the next four years, contrary to "popular" belief.

Re Aulian: It's chill dude. Some good, deep discussions are healthy. But I can't believe you watched SICKO and believed that crap. My family came from Cuba; Castro does not allow his people that kind of medical care. I would know because my grandfather was a doctor there and did illegal operations for the peasants because the medical care is a long line that takes years. Too long for someone who has cancer or heart disease.

And for your mum, it's called health care insurance. There is indeed help for the poor who need medical attention as well, but it is not free service. Although there are those compassionate doctors who do services for free like my grandfather. Nothing in life is free, something the people of today are beginning to overlook. Just like in fl, we all play characters that are evil, good, and neutral in opinion and thought. Just like people today will always be either of those three and never just one type. We can only continue to fight on and promote the logical paths and Locke theory.

But more and more, I begin to look at Hobbes's theory and fall under that banner.

True... true. Those are the kinds of attacks that i was talkin about when i said it was stupid and had nothin really to do w/ the issues... cuz for real... Obama has a higher chance of dying in the next four years than MacDaddy does... if the Viets couldn't get him... whats old age gunna do? I heard death wont f*** w/ two people... Chuck Norris and John McCain. :D

inscribed... i might have been kinda strong in sayin that the u.s. is socialist... i meant more that the u.s. has some socialist policies. The u.s. is a mix of alot of policies and ideals... but really the point i was makin was that everyone has these buzzwords that they hold onto as "bad" and they are throwin em around this election cycle... "Socialism", "Communism", "Muslim", "Plumbers"... and its like... the u.s. HAS things that are socialist.. like limited socialism... that i gave examples of before (labor unions is another one).

I didn't vote for Obama, but now that he's in... .when do I get my free health care? I've been fighting for the past three weeks to get the treatment I feel I deserve- as I'm in ****ing agony 50% of the day, and I still can't get someone to prescribe me anything past ... oh... a test at the end of the damn month and a blood draw. I'm not asking for Oxy or Morphine, I'm just wanting something other they Extra Strength Tylenol for my pain. But, on the flip side, I am currently on state run health care... yeah Medicare. So, as soon as his amazing new coverage comes into play, I should be the first to know... right?

I agree with you, Iconz. We're not a socialist country, but we've adopted some policies that lean far into socialist ideologies. I got to watch the election last night with a guy who is straight up ignorant... didn't vote for Obama because he was black (funny thing, this guy is Asian... so the racism is odd to me) even though he agreed with a majority of Obama's policies. I'm really hoping he was joking about the "impending race wars", because I drove through the city this morning and... well... business as usual.

And what does that tell me? This whole election was sensationalized. "WHITE vs BLACK!" "RICH vs POOR!" "OLD vs YOUNG!" "OLD vs NEW!" "HATE vs TOLERANCE!" etc. but... in the end... we were supposed to have an amazingly high turn out for young voters? That was up 1% from last year (or something like that?). Basically, I don't think the country honestly gives a **** whether someone is old, young, black, white, rich or poor... what it comes to is: "Do we like the way we've been going? No? Let's change." and 58% (my tv is small, might be a different number) of the Country decided to change, so we are.

So, my basic run down is: I didn't vote for him, next year he'll be my president... I hope he does the best job he can. I look forward to his efforts and I send him my best. Hopefully he'll repair the economy, bring peace to the war on terror, and make the country medically healthy. But, barring that, I'd be happy just getting something to kill this pain for a few hours :)
