Wow...Obama's supporters did far worse than just boo. Seriously, half of America just got brainwashed by another Clinton-smooth-talking clone.

And right now, they are conducting an investigation to find out the real truth behind Obama's birth location. He has birth certificates from Hawaii, Colorado (not sure on that one), and Kenya.

Whoop de f***in doo. We now have another democratic House, Senate, and Executive branch. Now all there is left is the Supreme Court majority to swing left.

And right now I am pissed at my generation for having been so easily brainwashed. Seriously, college students are some of the worst voters ever.

It's true. My college is like.. 90% liberal. T.T

Nobody here makes sense. I don't agree with democrats but that's not what I'm saying. What I mean, is nobody here knows why they voted for Obama. I'm impressed if I meet a person educated on the issues, even for Obama, that's something. This was a bandwagon victory.

You're right, the uneducated are far preferable.

Every person I've talked to knows exactly why they voted for Obama. For me, his support of abortion rights, socialized health care, gay marriage, green technologies, his lack of support for continuing the drug war (hardly a focus of his campaign, but at least he doesn't support prohibition) and Iraq war, his tax policies, and as much of his personality as I've learned from hundreds of hours looking into this guy were the reasons. Well, also, I dread the idea of Sarah Palin anywhere near the White House.

Me, I'm incredibly proud of the country right now... but I'm not breaking out the champagne yet. Obama's still got a lot to prove.

You, Pali, are one among few. I'm not lying or exaggerating. I don't agree with alot of the things you said were reasons why you support him, but you know why, and you (in my opinion) would offer a legitimate vote for Obama. You're not you're run of the mill, 'I believe we can, we will prevail, change is on the way' Obama fanatic.

And I'm not lying or exaggerating when I say that everyone I know knows exactly why they voted for Obama (I know only a couple of people who voted McCain). Yes, for some it wasn't the specific issues or policies he has proposed but rather the idea that the country has to change radically the direction it has been going in and Obama is the guy who can do it, but why is that not a valid reason for choosing him?

Anybody can say they're gonna do something. It's how they're gonna do it that counts, which I've been saying few college students anyway... have looked into. I don't think Obama is going to go about it the right way. I know you'll have some awesome response, but that's where I stand and that was the point I was trying to make. Good day. :)

I certainly agree that there is a bit of mania about him, but that's what happens when a smart, charismatic person steps onto the political stage in a bad time and offers hope for better. Those college students you keep talking about didn't just hear "a black guy's running for president!" and start chanting "Yes we can!" overnight. They already had a new kind of leader in Clinton, and they had to be convinced that Obama was the better choice. Yes, once they were sold on Obama they became enthusiastic enough to be chanting, but they had to learn about him to be sold in the first place. They may disagree with you, they may be more enthusiastic and energetic about their political views than you are, but don't make the mistake of thinking enthusiasm only comes with ignorance.

Who are you to determing what voters do with their own ballots?

He didn't determine what they did with their ballots. From what I gather, he just thinks college students are terrible voters because they don't seek to understand what the person they are voting for stands for. Which is true for alot of them. Change can be bad, too.

Unlike the Republicans who think Obama is a Muslim and thus are clearly better informed about the candidates.

There are ignorant idiots on both sides. The country's stupid. Get over it. Or better, support legislation that invests in schools so that the country gets LESS stupid.
