Ara started off as an extremely enjoyable character, and I really liked the RP ideas I had for her. As of late, I haven't had a desire to play much. I don't think I've even logged on in the past week, and the week or two before that, I think I was averaging maybe an hour a day. I suppose you could say I just lost interest. It seems whenever I did log on in the past few weeks, I've either had absolutely nothing to do other than send some armies and read some notes - I'd log off fairly quick.

As most of you know, there was a very publicized "fight" between another player and myself, and I believe that was really the beginning of the end for my desire to want to play. It is sad that one person can ruin the enjoyment of a character, but I am grateful that the Imm's quickly nipped the problem and removed/editted posts from the forums. What became very annoying was the amount of people that started to message me on AIM over the situation, and going so far as sit there and berate me, while having absolutely no grasp on the true events that transpired. AIM, and OOC abuse in general, has become way too prevalent. Due to this, I've completely removed AIM from my computer, and have no desire to have ooc contacts with anyone.

This isn't a goodbye thread, but rather it is a "I don't know what I want to roll up and play right now" thread.

I think this character was really a breakthrough for me in regards to PK - as I think it was the first one I've had with a positive PK record. For those of you that think the path I chose was overpowered, feel free to ask Purikant how I did, as no matter what strategy I chose, I was always the one running - and it wasn't because Purikant is a monster, because I fought several monsters during my time. Purikant simply had a strategy, didn't panic when he got psi-skilled, and executed the strategy. Nothing I could do. Iraekiira was exactly the same way.

The RP was enjoyable, but I had a hard time getting others, unfortunately mortals and immortals, to be interested, and I slowly started losing desire to keep the whole "framework" rp going.

As far as shoutouts go, I think this post is getting lengthy enough as is, but there are two shoutouts I'd like to give.

Malchaeius - Thank you for the opportunity to become a psionicist, and thank you for putting up with my constant pestering on the prayer forum.

Anume - What can I say? You're an awesome immortal. Thanks for giving me another chance to run the psi quest. I've never had a Nexus, but I think I may just make one because I know you'd be an awesome cabal imm.

With all that being said, there is a nice set of rares back in circulation.

At the time we were speaking about it though we were either dealing with nexus or just not able to log @ the same time You were always one I could count on and give me pointers from the beginning! AIM and OOC in general cause usually a lot of problems. In some extreme cases we had people ticking out and threatening to go beat someone up etc. already.

So again, our usual appeal, do not use AIM when mudding.

As to Ara, a well-played character both from rp and pk. I had interesting interactions with you both as my Imm and my mortals.

I find that the only way it causes real problems, is if people know who you are playing, then you get those favors, or please leave me alones etc etc. I remember what your talking about, and agree it was taken out of proportion espescially after I got the whole story. Good luck on next projects and sorry to hear it affected you so adversely.

Solid char. I was just thinking today, "Ara hasn't been around in awhile, I bet she'll get rare purged." I also saw a girl named Ara at my coffee shop yesterday. Weird!

Hopefully you'll roll up a new char and a fun combo. My best advice? Go for a weird/wacky RP that you think would be fun, with no thoughts for anything else. Be as akward as you can, but make it fun. You will fall in love with the char, I guarantee.

Sad to hear about your experiences. I remember Lamah traveling alot with Ara and giving tips as to which paths to seek. As a decently strong player that always played (according to your perception) not so classy evil chars don't let the ooc get to you. To me it shows who the trashy players really are if they'd go so far as to go ooc when things don't go there way. I make myself as invisible as possible on aim and only speak to those whom I believe can be mature ig. Though its always difficult to find out who fits that criteria.

When did I say your characters were not classy? I've interacted with you as Zebb, Drayson and Lamah. Loved Lamah, hated Drayson (I was still new at that point and you spanked me relentlessly - and I'm not saying that was trashy) and only interacted with Zebb a couple of times. You would think that a nymph who flirted all the time would be able to score a date or two. I tried acting as "easy" as possible without crossing the line into R-rated. I did get engaged like 3 times, but everyone kept deleting! I also got an offer to cook supper for Ulyashanaki and Lugrek.

Also, sorry to the immortals, I thought the stuff in my scoresheet was standard elf material. 400 hours and I didn't realize I had special attributes, hah!

When did I say that you said my characters weren't classy? Haha I was referring to those who went ooc because I did something they didn't like ig. My apologies for sounding confusing. Curious though, do you mind revealing who you interacted with Drayson as? Because if you consider yourself new then, than you've improved tons as Ara.

Yeah, I guess I was confused there

I think I fought Drayson with both of my drow shamans in Savant, Tezdal and Felhara.

In fact, I remember being on my last life with Tezdal and needing Valganti to log on so we could do my last death/Time Lord stuff. You came and attacked the Air Elemental, then called me a coward after I wouldn't come fight Coming out to fight you would have meant my condeath
