delfytheelfy
There are a TON of monks up and coming... Whats a good Monk Killer?
Ali_gmud
Another monk or dk or a druid - my opinion of course.
Twinblades713
Blademasters. Hands down.
Guest emp_newb
Dk is not a good monk killer. Too much input required. The best monk killer is either a necro, or a bmg. GIven that they do not really need to use any real commands to stay going.
Djriacen
Blademaster dude.
A Poet's Blade
A ranger can beat any other class. Instead of going for a class that can beat one class, I'd go for a class that can beat every other class aswell.
Guest emp_newb
I do not believe that. Rangers can be taken out quite easily by several things. A smart warrior, a pally, a bmg, a blm, a necro, an invoker(espescially invoker). I think overall shammies are the best class to survive with, not only can you severely harm your attackers, you can do it while letting them think they are winning all the while your healing etc etc.
Mindflayer
(Having played Aokami) I'd say blademasters, battlemages, rangers and druids are the hardest classes to overpower as a monk.
mya
Paladins tend to do well vs Monks. At least the ones i face. And i love those Undead Monks critters. But i say to go with a Blademaster. They are exelent mages, and you wont pull out your hair as with a Necromancer. Avian BMG... better than elven, and Drow, due to items selection. And i just had a great idea. Elven Ranger. Dirt sneak, flee. Call Ligghtning.

A Poet's Blade
I've seen and played rangers that can dominate all those classes list plus every other class in the game. I am not trying to start another ranger OP thread(even though they are), just saying its the strongest class in the game.

Mindflayer
They get waxed by a decent battlemage though. Every class has its bane.

Aulian
Disagree with you there. Corinkorth Vs Tarandil prime example. My bmage didnt have trouble with anyone else, just Corin, he accounted for more then 60% of all my deaths.
myrek
classes don't beat classes. Players beat players.
Aulian
I dunno about that either. certain classes will give the advantage enough to mediocre players for them to overcome the difference in skill level.
myrek
I do agree that certain classes are "simple" enough for less experienced players to be proficient with them. But even that has been so inconsistent (which classes the "newbs" are skilled with) that I don't know how true it is. The amount of work a player puts into a character is still the main factor in determining the character's success.
Guest emp_newb
rangers, clerics. Pretty much anything that is one dimensional, or does not require alot of game knowledge.

A Poet's Blade
I don't think cabal skills would have mattered to be honest. The fun little mob that is provided would only charge his reflective shield. It was Aulian's first BMG and he was still learning, but he did get to the point where it was getting harder and harder to beat him. I honestly believe, after playing plenty successful rangers, that they are simply overpowered. The fact that I was dual wielding magic items, had 3 charmies, one being very very strong, had three defenses, ability to out heal and out damage, and a magical attack made his life hell. Granted this was before the ogre regen change, but I am in complete belief that a ranger can and will dominate any other class in the game. I have done it. Triathix has done it. Several people have experienced the strength of rangers. They are very very strong. Perhaps TOO strong...?
