Icor
After about... seven hours collectively, I think... and spanning over three days, I finally finished this dang thing. I need a break from my break, lol. Jog on over to this page to see the process in a little more detail, spanning from the first lineart bit to the last, and then of course, the color. Enjoy! A Poet's Blade
Valadar always reminded me of Hidan from the Naruto anime. Spooky guy who carries a scythe performing rituals when they kill people. Stabs himself in the chest after they are dead and everything while laying in a symbol made from blood. Wonder if the player is basing the character loosely off this?

HouselessRogue
Very nice! I wish I had a scrap of artistic ability. Well, I can trace. Does that count?

Does that count?[/quote'] Tracing is the first step to teaching your hand how to draw. You trace things and you slowly learn how they are shaped and you remember it. Icor
Tracing is good, but sketching is key. Start by sketching, like, the continents and stuff off of a world map, then move on to other objects.
Kyzarius
Very very well done. You did amazingly well at pulling the details from the description.

Talimee
Nice! Wonder if you'd be willing to give Messalantha a try? Her desc was: You look into an angelic face rimmed by waves of silky golden hair. Large liquid blue eyes stare at the world dreamily from under long black lashes, seemingly caught in a kind of half-sleep. Her skin is clear and unblemished, the colour a chalky white making the dark red lips of her pouty mouth stand out even more. Her full lips are drawn slightly apart, showing two rows of perfect sparkling white teeth. The cowl of her long cloak is carefully draped around her head, the expensive material hugging her glossy blond hair in a lover’s caress. A finely worked golden clasp featuring a huge blood-red ruby holds the cloak closed above her delicate white throat. Little can be seen of the rest of her slender figure, swathed as it is in the folds of her cloak, midnight blue, the colour of evening.
