Badass polearm for goodies!

Would it be too overpowering to request a decent (and heavy) polearm for goodies? Something close to that evil one with all the blood in it?

They exist, you just have to go much farther than that guy to get them.

Look at what deys wearing.. Thats pretty nasty

Also- cant remeber if steelfeather is anti good but thats a very nasty pole arm.

I think talking about rares are still not ok....

TheNewGuy is correct. Discussing item specifics is a bit taboo.

I'm not talking specifics here but I'm 99.9% positive there's nothing for goodies along the lines of the one the previously-mentioned-creature wields unless you are a certain something that lets you wield the one Pamiyn carries

I'm not necessarily talking about wielding the polearm either...

Mmmbeer, why do you hint at stuff in the post after an imp posts this. Try to think before you hit "post reply".

Think before I post - got it. Honestly bro, I'm not in the least bit trying to be disrespectful of the forum rules. I'm just trying to compare a hypothetical goodie-only badass (maybe holy grin ) polearm with a pretty well known rare weapon. And I posted here vs. prayer because I don't really know if it would be overpowered - personally, I think not but that's just me.

There are not supposed to be an equal number of everything for good/neutral/evil. That is part of differentiating them. If you want an uber polearm than you should've stuck to your evil bmg.

Goods have the advantage of being safe from 1/3 of their PK range and are able to request. One less polearm isn't such a bad trade.

There is a perfectly good axe that would serve your purpose that is available far more easily than that polearm is for evils.

Ask around IG. Most people know what L-A is hinting at and will tell you specifically.

I'm aware of the axe.

...than you should've stuck to your evil bmg

I have no idea who you are referring to

You think the class you're playing is gimped for goodies?

You've got a super nice, heavy sword that you can get that will make undead flee in terror.

You've got a pretty nice, heavy axe that can be utilized against magic-resistant races and invokers.

You've got a pretty nice, albeit somewhat rare heavy axe that can be utilized against everyone else, and other battlemages. (wreaks havocs on ogres)

You want to think the class is gimped, look at neutrals.

They have access to the mundane axe, the somewhat rare magic axe (which is usually held by the goodies, or melee classes), and that certain super rare polearm (which is sought after by every neutral/evil in the game).

The weapon selection is extremely limited for neutral , and is why I deleted mine.

Nobody ever said the class was gimped for goodies.

Nobody ever explicitly said it. It was strongly implied though.

Evangelion: From teh way you talk it sounds like you believe dancing blade will hit vulns - it will not. The most you can expect is that it will not hit a resistance. It was changed way back when in 1.0 as bmages were too powerful with dancing blades that were able to take advantage of vulns.

Hit elemental vulns is something that a bmage has a very hard time doing.

Uh, the magic axe that everyone knows about does significantly more damage than the mundane axe that everyone knows about.

I never said ANYTHING about elemental vulns.

Fair enough - just wanted to know for sure.

it may do more damage (on avg), but that doesn't necessarily make it the best axe.
