Since back the most I've seen on at one time was about 13 people. I've tried to hit the server at all differnet times, but haven't had a lot of luck. Am I missing people? I just haven't had much chance to do any RP with groups yet.

It's evolution. Survival of the best adapted.

AardWolf mud has now 263 loged players.

I do not see a mud extinction, but more a player concentration on the more agreeable muds. FL is a hard world, and most players are completely terrified of the idea of Full Loots, Perma death and Enforced RP.

Youth this days are used to no loss MMORPGs, where they are safe to grind their time away.

As long as MUDS offer the same things that MMORPG's offer, but without the spiffy graphics, then yes MUDS are gonna die. MUDs need to go where MMORPG's can't, and that's game malleability and roleplay. It's much easier to change and edit the game world in MUDS than it is on MMORPG's and MUD owners need to capitalize on that. MUDS should make the player feel like they can change the world in an everchanging game environment.

THat is not a 1.0 log. That is a 2.0 log since I remember ALOT of the people there, and the log is from 03 I am almost positive. Cause I can remember alot of those names. And one got one of my favorite titles

I seriously think cabals should open back up to people whore are not necessarily of pinn/near pinn. I realize some of it requires you to be pinnacled, but alot of things do not require it.
