Kyzarius
Here I sit waiting to equip, my enemies always on. On my back, Like feinds on crack, they chase and plunder. Unrelenting in their pursuit, and no chance to get a suit, I find no reason to stay. What fun is there, to stay in there when you have to lose just to play. f0xx
I feel the same way from time to time K, perhaps there should be some kind of other protection that stays up till someone is actually able to get some kind of a suit. I don't like fighting decked people while I am in mithril, but what is worse is that I have to fight decked people while I have "a practice sword and a teeth necklace" (by Anume's words). English lad
In the last 3 and a bit years playing this game i've lost a helluva lot more than i've won. I'd say i've got to be at least at 75% losses. A lot of this i accept, because i never really dedicated the time to the game that some people have, and therefore never played it at the same standard. winning and losing 101. - If there are winners, there are losers. Sounds simple, but by losing all those hundreds (thousands?) of times, i have enabled all of you guys to be winners. If you didn't have someone to beat up on, you couldn't beat then up. I understand everybody wants to win, and nobody likes being on the receiving end, but do the math, it doesn't add up. Basically yes - you have to lose sometimes, otherwise other people can't win, and then where is the fun in it for them?
mya
Play a Cleric. This solves most of you problems re-equipping. Especially good clerics.

Mudder
...I don't like fighting decked people while I am in mithril' date=' but what is worse is that I have to fight decked people while I have "a practice sword and a teeth necklace" (by Anume's words).[/quote'] This is where the responsibility of "classy" play comes in. A decked player should never be repeatedly killing someone dressed in mithril. There are always easy ways being able to RPly back off a little and let your enemies get dressed. If your decked and afraid to fight your enemies on "semi-equal" footing, you are not worth your own eq. It is not fun to be repeatedly killed over and over when you have absolutely no chance but to log off, similarly it is not fun to kill someone repeatedly over and over without any form of challenge. It only hurts the game. I think I am going to make a post about my version of "classy play" and just reference it a lot. I think my repeated preaching is even getting old for the Rev. Implementor Anume Posted January 14, 2009 Implementor Report Share Posted January 14, 2009 Also keep in mind that no cabal Imm expects you to defend or retrieve naked. We expect you to get a basic set and then TRY to retrieve at least once. Multible suicides does not aid your char nor your char's cabal. What we do NOT want to see is you on Gear/Desolation/Winter trips while your cabal is under attack.

Then we developed this little theory that you fight better in mithril because you're not afraid to loose your shinies and play it to the bone. Of course, that was back in the day when I played 8-10 hours per day regularly, nowadays I would probably not be able to kill a guy with a stick while I'm wearing full Adeptus thingies. Insepiddeception
Actually its a psychological thing, I make less mistakes when I am in mithril and/or really bad gear as opposed to cream of the crop gear. Your mind sets in harping on the thought of you losing all of your shinies and you cant focus on the battle, but if youre in mithril you dont think on it because hey all the golems are in one square ripe for the picking.
