Questioner
It has some logical ideas in there. Great study. But what the frick are you or any other american joe schmoe going to do about it. In fewer words: Great idea, lets see some action.
J.Twendrist
I just found it to be an interesting theory and was curious about everyone else's thoughts.
Icor
I like this. A lot. Horray for home schooling mothers -- mine is one and has been one for 16 years.
Pali
Homeschooling is a great idea for an ideal world where the parents are themselves properly educated... but most aren't, and homeschooling instead often becomes a way for the parents to indoctrinate their kids and keep them from being exposed to ideas the parents don't like. inscribed
so... a guy recaps a professor's seminar that his wife attended, makes a few dramatic claims without providing a single reference, and then throws in a bunch of opinionated fluff to make the article appear longer, and we are calling this interesting? Celerity
I think they photoshopped those glasses into his picture...they don't look right. While he may be right that the US is on the downward swing, I wouldn't trust this guy with anything. It is hard to take someone seriously when they base their entire political ideology on being ANTI-something: "I began to see how liberalism was first of all penalizing the people who worked and produced in our society by taking money away from them and redistributing it to others who didn't work. But it also occurred to me that liberalism was not really helping the recipients of this income redistribution either. The concept of 'liberal compassion' is a complete hoax, because when you give someone these free benefits, you rob him of any incentive to work or get educated for a job or career, and you make that person dependent on the state. I can't be the only person who thinks that is a bad idea," stated Eberhard He might be right though...I mean it looks like someone gave him the benefit of free speech...and he managed to lose all incentive to work or get educated...
