So like... okay. How tall is ****? How tall do you imagine races being measured in like... feet. Cuz like... halflings I know are tiny little bastards, so how can they kick dirt in the eyes of a giant thats like 12 feet tall? Are giants 12 feet tall? Maybe everything is extraordinarily small in Aabahran and like... whats a giant to a human there is like a halfling to a human in real life. Is the planet microscopic? Or maybe the opposite? Can someone talk to me about this?

Heh. What's funny is that I had absolutely no idea how sliths look like. I always had the impression that their body is human-like while they have no feet, but instead their lower body is like a snake. After describing my character like that I recieve a note from immortal saying "Please send an application for Naga because your character looks like one", and THEN I realise that sliths are just humans with tails :)

you're a lizardman with a tail...

but yeah I think my slith picture in my head is the lizardmen from Baldur's Gate...the first one. I think I might have written my first slith description looking at the NPC lizardman you can buy stuff from in Baldur's Gate actually...

Help files.

Giants (not to be confused with Ogres) are the largest of the races' date=' ranging from 9-12 feet in height.[/quote']

Halflings are short' date=' generally plump people, very much like small humans, averaging 3 and 1/2 feet tall.[/quote']

But I do agree, it does get very odd for the other races, figuring out what they are more specifically looking like. I look forward to the guidelines.

I just picture sliths to look like, if anyone has played Oblivion - those lizard looking people, I kill them every chance I get because they look lame.

But yeah, I think giants to inheriat some sort of advantage for when smaller races try and dirt kick, if not make them immune just make it harder to land.

It just seems logical to me.

there is the basic need for standard skills to work in a MUD regardless of what RL what have them be realistic. it's a MUD. if you wanted all common class skills to be modified for all races, the MUD would be absolutely unwieldy. there's a million issues if you wanted to nitpick: like equipment, movement, language. the common understanding is, that's the way it has to be. your other option would be a game too complicated to enjoy.
