Im jokin when i call WEC JV... not b/c they cant fight but b/c they are on a smaller stage than their UFC sister company... and their ratings are consistently lower. I got respect for Torres... but dude was talkin about he likes to let people hit him in the face to prove he is a man... so uhh.. i think Torres was confused about what he is supposed to do in the cage. HRogue... i dont think it was just bein sloppy that lost him the fight... being sloppy got him knocked down... but it was his poor defense once he was on his back that got him finished. He immediately went for the armbar instead of protecting his chin. The thing w/ Torres is that he was the big fish in a small pond for such a long time... same w/ Faber.... now that they are getting some other big fish.. things should be interesting. I do think Torres can win the rematch though... unlike Faber who I pretty much think has met his foil. If im Faber... i might try my hands at 155.

What do you guys think of a A. Silva vs Couture fight? Couture is saying he wants to fight Spider next... then again so is Rashad. I think Rashad would be the more interesting fight... but it would almost be like watching Evans fight Machida again lol... Brazilian fists meet chin... Evans face meets mat.

[EDIT] Gina Carano got mutilated just as I knew she would.... Cyborg is on a different level than most other women. Thats that Chute Boxing mentality... Also... WOW Gegard Mousasi! I was VERY impressed!

Mousasi has been underrated for a long time. He's a beast! Carano, poor beautiful Carano...I love her with all my heart and still hope that the fight ruling is turned over when the athletic commission finds out Cyborg was once a man. Anyway, Silva beats Couture and Rashad at the same time, much less one at a time. =D

well I can't disagree much with your fight analysis, but I must say your football team choice is just disheartening. I was beginning to like you...:(

That was rough to watch. I thought Gina had a chance. Reversals/stops were good, but, just too sloppy with follow-through after. Cyborg was just soaking up everything at the start, but then realized that wasn't going to work. :P

Shame Gina let her get that full mount at the end of the last round. She may have gotten herself covered up, but Cyborg was wailing the crap out of her wherever/whenever/however she wanted to. Still wish the ref hadn't stopped the match...I wanted to see a Round 2.

I'm leaning towards Lesnar myself...only because in my mind Division 1 National championship > Division 2 National championship. Wrestling if you are wondering... They both throw bombs the likes of which few men can withstand. I don't envy either one of them...I feel like they both have their hands full.

You are probably right but it would be interesting to watch. To bad Fedor won't get his *** in a cage. That would be very interesting to watch.

Carwin v. Lesnar. Hard to say. I haven't seen enough of Shane Carwin to really have a good gut feeling on this. The fact that he has stopped EVERYONE he has fought is in impressive but I haven't seen any big name wins. Think Gonzaga was his biggest and Gonzaga isn't all that great. The UFC Heavyweight division is pretty stale so I can't really knock him there.

Always fun to watch two big heavy handed guys slug it out. Since they are both good wrestlers I think they will wind up standing for most of the fight and I definitely don't see it going past even three rounds. Someone will get KO'd probably in the 1st or 2nd round.

I knew there was a reason I was leaning towards Lesnar more than my preference for D1 over D2. I just rewatched Carwin's fight against Gonzaga...and Gonzaga rocked him early...well not really rocked, but set him on his ***. Granted, Carwin got up and proceeded to destroy him. I feel like the power that Gonzaga has, and it's there, just doesn't hold a candle to the implosion bomb Lesnar calls his fist.

I can't make one on this...lately I've been off. I will note that Fedor doesn't have a glass jaw like Andrei. However, if you've watched the staredown footage, you know how huge Rogers is compared to Fedor. I know Fedor's beaten huge guys before (Hong-Man), but Rogers is a beast who's won 10 of 10 by KO, TKO, or submissions via strikes.

Interesting fight.

Amazing card. Jake Rosholt is legit. Yves Lavigne is a dark, twisted, sadistic soul... Thiago way to go out there and bust a generally pretty tough, albeit middle of the pack opponent. NOG! My big concern is that Couture signed a 6 fight extension before the... I can't call it domination, but fairly blatant loss. Dana White wants him to die in the cage I think... At some point, Randy has to stick to running Xtreme Couture (nasty, nasty camp) and realize that despite being as tough as a titanium plated keg of nails, age beats everyone eventually.

Rosholt ain't bad, but that fight went the opposite way I thought it was going to. I mean, Jake outstruck Leben. Leben pretty much outwrestled Jake. Then, a head and arm choke put Leben to sleep. Sucks you gotta tap twice, cause Chris was out before he could manage the second. I'm not so sure he's thaaaat legit. I never thought too highly of "The Crippler."

Thiago knocked out a guy with no chin. He's got some strong, unorthodox standup, but I'm pretty sure he's got a glass chin. That's not saying Thiago doesn't have some brutal power, because I know he does...especially ground and pound. I'm just not so surprised that fight went the way it did.

And as for Nog, I'd call that a domination. Couture got a couple punches in, and had mount for a short time before getting swept, but as for the rest of the fight, it was all Nog. He was super close to submitting Randy with the D'Arce, and pretty much controlled the standup (to my surprise). You're right, Krins. 6 fights is far too many. Randy has already wound down, and it seems like he's signed this big extension just as the UFC is beefing up its heavyweight division. Bad time to do so.

103 is in Texas. I can't wait!!!

I'm so glad you saw that was a D'arce and not an arm triangle. Rosholt choke, true arm triangle. You know...I'm such a straw splitter...I guess the D'arce is just a variation... My only reason to not call it out right domination between Nog and Randy is the fact that I've seen fights go drastically worse for the loser and still be straight 30-27s. Rosholt...National champion wrestler (not half as sharp against Leben as I remember him when I watched him win his National final), I feel safe in saying average to above average striking, at least some time spent in the jiu-jitsu room...I think he's got a lot of potential. Thiago beat what has become a stepping stone named Jardine...but it was pretty convincing. The biggest display of warrior spirit award goes to Ed Herman...he came back out, I'd have been on my way out to an ambulance personally.
