Cephirus
Just a question on your targeting for combat. If I am currently engaged with opponent A, and opponent B is in the room, and I want him to be my target, can I switch targets in the middle of combat, and if so, how? I know I can flee and change that way, just wondered if maybe there was something I have been missing all these years.

Ali_gmud
I don't believe you can just melee him into combat, but you can certainly throw a spell at him, so he is agro'd and is attacking you, once he is attacking you. You can use the command to target him. kill 2.####
Cephirus
kill 2. does not work unless you are currently not fighting.
Ali_gmud
currently not fighting? If I am fighting like 7 treants, to target which one I want to fight I just type kill 1.trea kill 2.trea kill 3.trea kill 4.trea If I'm fighting, and they don't agro I just throw spells, or dirt them to target me, then I just use the commands to target which ever one I want... does that not work for you as well? Evangelion
If you are fighting person A and person B at the same time, then you can focus your attacks on one or the other by typing "hit ". If you are fighting person A and not person B, then you can only engage person B into combat through a targeting attack, such as dirt kick, trip/bash, a critical strike, or an offensive spell. If you use a single target spell, you will automatically switch to melee with person B as well. If you use an area attack, you will continue aiming your melee at person A, but you will hit person B with your spell and draw them into combat, after which you can use the "hit" command to target them. Mudder
I've always thought that murder should also work here... I have a bad habit of messing up because murder doesn't work for the re-aim and it costs me precious rounds!
Cephirus
Hit, that is it. I never knew that. It would be cool to have a help file to explain that.
Mudder
kill also works. EDIT: Hit is just another form of kill.
Ali_gmud
there's a command for hit? If I'm going to attack anything in FL, my general objective is to kill it.

f0xx
Kill also works, as Bali said though, you must be already engaged. If not, use one of the things he mentioned to engage.
KRins
Do it my way...remind him that his mother was a git and his sister spends evenings dancing in burlesque shows. Almost too effective to be honest...

Cephirus
I repeat, if you are already engaged, kill/murder will not change your aim, I have tried many times, only hit works.
f0xx
Murder doesn't work. Kill does.
