English lad
There's been multiple threads about voting from time to time, but recently i've really noticed us take a dive on TMS. More worryingly for me, i realised that i've pretty much stopped voting, making me part of the problem. To be honest i had no reason to stop voting, i guess i just forgot/got lazy/apathetic etc... I intend to start picking that up again, because no matter what else happens, i do remember that a few months back when we were breaking into the top10 on tms i saw a lot more new players than i do now. Retention is an issue, and I don't know what to do about that, but actually getting the mud recognised on the voting sites will make some difference. Based on our numbers, a lot of people who were voting, aren't now, i'd be interested in knowing why people have stopped, whether it is a conscious decision, or like me just a lack of attention. HBwillie
I vote every time I check the forum and I check the forum like 4-5 times a day.
Ali_gmud
I started voting last night, I just released that forsakenlands was outside of the top ten... I know about 7-8 players in my neighbourhood that have stopped playing and will be more than happy to roll again - once the pbase buffs up abit, so once we the pbase increase up abit, it will increase even more when they those who have stopped playing as per the lack of players, all rejoin due to the increase of players. HBwillie
Uhh, if they wouldn't leave we'd have more players...tell your people that they're idiots.
Mudder
Considering we typically have at least 10 people on at all times. (Excluding odd times that people don't play) If we added 7 or 8, that would be ~20 players on at all times. How many do your friends want/need ? EDIT: I vote anytime I check the forum. Which is a lot. Do we get penalized for over voting or does the vote just not count? Because that would suck... I think I try to vote at least 8 times a day. English lad
You can vote once every 12 hours - it doesn't penalise for over voting, just doesn't count them from the same IP
Nightmare_from_hell
Considering we typically have at least 10 people on at all times. (Excluding odd times that people don't play) If we added 7 or 8, that would be ~20 players on at all times. How many do your friends want/need ? How does your logic work Mudder? With a base level of 10 players on average logged at any time of the day, adding only 7 or 8 will not improve that number to over 15 as an average, well, at least assuming they aren't all Zrothum who can devote a 40hour week to simply mudding. In order to increase our average of players as a whole at all times of the day, I would say we would probably need at least 20 more players to reach the average of 15 people on at all times of the day. This number is most likely drastically low due to several variables such as work, social life, or family. Either way, Ali_gmud, I find your friends' logic to be faulty as well. How can you say that you aren't going to play unless the pbase gets bigger, when you yourself (your friends) are contributing to the decline in the pbase anyways? Another 7-8 people playing at nearly identical times would boost the average during those times to a decent level. In other words, you should really call up your friends and get them to start playing again.
