All I can is this - we were all there once. It sucks but you learn. I can also say that nothing is as rewarding as the moment you start winning the fights. Don't give up completely. I am not sure what class you play but if you aren't something highly survivable like a healer, cleric or paladin... make one. It will help you out a great deal.

i just hit 50 recently, its not so much that i died but that i died three times in one hour, and i spent about 15-20 hours yesterday ( real hours) finding items and trying to figure out how to equip my character, get some decent unique and rare items that were hard to find and poof, gone within a day.

Honestly i just dont have the energy to roll anything else and master all my skills again so much effort involved in makeing one character even playable.

I know the feeling, most of us do. I've played for about 4 years and I still get my @$$ handed to me. I've reach a point that I just laugh and say I'm dead again off to get more eq. I used to get so frustrated , once I nearly through my lap top out the window, but reminded myself this is a game and that I had a paper due the next day. Now I just look back at the the battle to see what I did wrong (takes a while for me to stop making the same stupid mistakes.)

Anyways like I said roll a healer or cleric. A healer will make it easier to help you learn the lands and find eq really quick. People will always ask a healer or cleric to join a group, so ranking shouldn't be too hard.

Check out the essays about each class too. It gives some advice as to what you should carry with you and some idea as to what skills they may have.

Another suggestion would to ask around, get into a group with another 50 that seems to know what they are doing, that way they can show you areas that are safe, and where to find decent eq, plus assist you if you're being attacked by another player, not to mention rescue/heal/get you out of danger if tough mob fight turns sour.

You know, I played 3 years without even having a character at 50.

Why do you rush to reach your pinnacle? Stay low, try to pk a bit, get a grasp of the game.

This is what makes FL is different than all the other games. You can't spend 2 days playing it non stop and be the bad-*** all pwning guy. Here you are your character. You build it every day, every week, every month. Also, do not just go left and right wasting your lifes. If you do not try to take care for your character, noone will.

Heh, you remind me so much of myself back when I had my first 50... :)

The class you picked, like I warned you on aim, is one of the worst picks for a newbie to learn with.

Take the advice of those who posted before me about rolling a goodie cleric/healer. BUT, don't spend time mastering skills/spells. Power-rank to 50 and go on any trips to anyhing like Gear/Desolation/Winter/Avalon.

Do everything! Remeber though, you will die. The thing is, as a goodie healer/cleric you can request equipment and for the equip you can't, you can solo nearly all mobs on the normal lands of FL.
