Ali_gmud
if I hadn't seen the trailer I would of laughed and called you a nerd But I went to the movies and saw it as a trailer before the movie, and it looked wicked... So Palwen Yes, I am excited.

a-guitarist
No. Not at all. Now, if you said, "Howard the Duck II" I'd be very much so. However, I'll have to settle on it being released to dvd. a-g

KRins
The fact that they are still making Star Treks makes me want to drink battery acid...
ladyoki
I like Star Trek... Well there are only two seasons I will watch over and over. Voyager and the Next Generation. What can I say I'm a treky (if that is even a word or even spelled right)
KRins
I'll admit that Star Trek has a half decent premise...but Shatner as the first captain was just such an awful decision that it ruined any potential that Star Trek could have had for me. ladyoki
Well, I'm not a fan of Capt. Kirk (Shatner) Just annoyed me to no end.
Pali
I actually rather enjoyed The Original Series myself... Deep Space 9 remains my favorite by far, however.
a-guitarist
DS9 is my favourite, only because of the continuous story line. If you came in halfway through the series, you may be lost if you missed five more episodes. STNG was easy to just drift in and out of, Enterprise a little less so (I'll say I loved Enterprise, but, hey, what do I know? I thought Waterworld was amazing and I really dug the Postman... maybe I just like the idea of everyone I know being dead?) I, honestly, haven't seen enough of the original series to say, "It was great." But, I hate it when things change and they feel they have to explain for 60's/70's (whenever) short comings in makeup and special effects when they update it to modern times. "Oh, Klingons went through a change, so we have to put some into the movies that are inbetween phases." ... or, just pretend like it never happened. Like George Lucas did with my dreams. a-g
Chayesh
It is for that same reason that I hated DS9. We used to refer to it as Deep Space: 90210.
Celerity
We? I recently watched the first few movies...in Japanese... I think I like it more than Star Wars and this new movie looks interesting.. but so did Red Cliff... I hope it is better than Red Cliff!
inscribed
star trek > star wars i've been saying this for years.... worf would totally kick chewbacca's ***.
mya
Picard was the best. When i saw STNG, i could sense the attempt to break the custom of making a US based series. (Think Firefly.) It could very well pass for a series made on Europe. The crew was very Balanced, and Wise. When i see this new trailer, i see almost US army propaganda. A young man, that is wild and violent. He apparently (shot trailer) decides to join the Space fleet, to get involved in a War. And becomes the kind of hero that inspires by vanquishing enemies and being a brute force leader. Not someone that leads by wisdom and diplomacy, as Picard did. I do not think i will like this movie, other than eye candy. Alternate trailer. a-guitarist
Mya, you're all the eye candy I need. Inscribed, I've always wanted to hate you, but since you were so cool I could never find a reason to. Now I can. Has Worf ever thrown an opening pitch? I think not. Any fanboy can dress up like warf if he wants, with some paper mache and brown paint and some cardboard from their motions sewing machine box they've got a batleth... you wanna be a wookie? Well, let's just say you've either gotta have a ton of cats, or a couple of long haired ones with a penchant for cleaning. Back you, Mya. You would like TNG, you comunist! Back to Inscribed, I didn't mean that. Please don't hate me, can we still be friends? Back to Mya, If you thought the propaganda looks bad in the trailer, watch Starship Troopers. All three of those movies were twenty kinds of awful, but I love each one. Back to Inscribed.... But Chewie doesn't have a . So... I dunno, it could go either way. Maybe a three way? You know. Between Chewie, Worf and Muffit? Tie. Three way Tie. Pervert. a-g
