Nekky
I am willing to concede that berzerkers have it bad in some areas, particularly against warriors. A quite well-equipped berzerker does need to be on their toes to beat even a semi-equipped warrior. I think that the recent berzerker changes have been helpful in addressing this, particularly being able to open combat with haymaker. But some of the sweeping statements made in this thread such as, "Berzerkers are inherently unplayable" and "Minotaurs are the only viable berzerker race, and only because they're cheap" are straight up rubbish. I have seen numerous berzerkers in the last year or so that have been both viable and non-minotaurs. My latest berzerker wasn't a minotaur and overall I did well against warriors, rangers and blademasters. These are classes that everyone seems to think make mince-meat out of berzerkers every time. If you select weapons intelligently, you can do fine against them. I hope the people making these statements have played more than 1-2 berzerkers, and fully explored the class's potential. Just because one berzerker doesn't work out, doesn't mean that the class is gimped.
Mudder
When I say a berserker isn't up to snuff, It's because I've played two. Fine, you CAN play a berserker and it's POSSIBLE to win vs a Warrior. I've done it. However the problem is that it was far too hard for what it should've been. When I play a class and can only successfully beat people far less skilled than me in PK, I see a problem. People are saying they've played successful Zerks. I haven't seen them, or perhaps I just didn't consider them PK successful. RE: Emp: Yeah? Go ahead and prove your zerk point. I'm going to laugh when you fail. And the Harden Up philosophy refers to full loots and PK in general, NOT unbalanced combinations. Btw, have I ever said harden up? No. I'm not a fan of full loots and I find a player who constantly full loots only does it to make up for a lack of ability(keeping your enemies unequipped. It's much more challenging when all your foes HAVE eq). It's not a philosophy I prescribe to, I just found it funny when Eshaine quoted LA which is why it is my sig. Should I make a Mino zerk/warrior and abuse something just because it's there? Maybe I will. Once I get back from NZ and have a proper connection. There have been at least 4 ogre/rangers that were unbelievably buff in PK. Were they all the same player? I doubt it. I've been up against these ogre rangers in VERY buff ranger killer equipment/classes. I had absolutely no chance in PK and it was not player skill that was the "big problem." I could have only won had they made a glaring mistake for me to capitalize on.

Firstly I believe those four were the same two players. Second you're saying you had absolutely no chance against them with ranger killer classes? I personally have beaten or given these guys a run for their money with different combos not really considered ranger killers and from that statement you made you're certain it wasn't mainly due to player skill? Now i'm not advocating that ogre rangers are fine. But I have noticed that with my skill its ridiculously more difficult than it should be beating those ogre rangers of much lesser skill. The track skill is very strong but I see this as an opportunity to develop more abilities for other classes to equally compete not constantly dilute something that makes a classes interesting and brings players to the game. Guest emp_newb
Trienklor and Corinkorth-Fallen Idolz Kronit and Triathix- Calron SO now that we cleared that up. List your zerks, and their paths, and their weapon choices. Your haymaker argument. I posted something similar some time ago, I was told it is not the skill, it is how you use it. It is NOT dispel magic. So I expiremented with it, learned how to use it without wasting 6 rounds getting it to land. Rage is a large boost to HP and hit dam I have seen zerks hit 80/80 and have 2k hp. Now if you are NOT killing ****, you are making poor pl ayer choices. Not playing a weak class. I have played a zerk through at pinn. And I sucked at first, learned a bit, then got good. it is not a die 10 times to the same person using the same tactics I tried nine times prior. Berserkers seem harder than warriors because? THEY ARE HARDER TO PLAY THAN WARRIORS. Im so tired of hearing this needs changed, and this needs changed. These classes have been balanced, and rebalanced for how long? 9 years?10? I did not post **** about BMGs being under powered, you know why? Cause I could see that bmgs had serious potential, I just could not realize it because it is not how I play.
