where pk
I know that they are legal and you should expect to be full looted everytime you die, but what is the general community thought about it? Do you full loot everytime you kill someone? Just enemies? Cabal enemies? I am just wondering because I have died several times and no one full looted me. Am I lucky or has the playerbased shifted directions?
tassinvegeta
Well it seems like those that I encounter are less A-hole'ish. So it makes me feel more inclined to be nicer. Don't know if its the same concensus for others.
Guest emp_newb
I usually full loot, pry RP out of them, and give most back. I always take a few rares that are harder to get.
Twinblades713
With my last several characters, I've gotten used to looting 1-2 items and no more. I leave packs, weapons, even nicer gear if I, or a cabalmate doesn't need it. If they were overly dickish to me, these may vary. I've gotten a WHOLE lot less loot happy these days. Dying to me, if I manage a kill, usually isn't all that bad.
Mudder
I never loot unless these circumstances are met: They do something as a player that I find trashy. Ganging Multi-killing naked enemies Killing lowbies with pinned Enemies around Etc. Other than that I don't full loot unless I really need all the eq or they full looted me in the past. If they're really tough, I take only what will hamper them for a short while. Sac weapons/consumables. Full looting for the sake of keeping your enemies down so you can PK them naked is the sissy way out. It ruins the fun for everyone. I prefer to have a challenge, not slaughter for the hell of it. Or at least so was my experience.
HouselessRogue
I usually don't full loot. I do if they are being an *** in RP or as a player in general. It depends on my RP a great deal and the interaction that we have had. I certainly wouldn't silent PK then full loot. I find that really trashy. Ali_gmud
I never full loot, I used to but I find it alot more classy if you don't. I usually just take what I need, but like twinblades I leave bags/backpacks. I think most of the time I take their primary weapons, so they won't be on my tail with heavy weaponary again anytime soon.... and for giggles I usally take their light. Mali
Funny how all of you are posting like you can actually make a kill. I know for a fact that Twinblades cannot PK.
Sandbox
If you rp with me before you attack i only take what i need, if you attempt to silent kill me i take everything. In the last 3 days i've looted 3 items i think. There was druid who i full looted and he rp'd with me before hand, but i took all his stuff and sacraficed it because his rp was so generic and cookie cutter. Makes me think your playing the combo just for pk.

Twinblades713
I know for a fact that Twinblades cannot PK. I know for a fact that Mali is an amphibious dolphin. o.O On another note: Ma boy Sandbox will not be one of them. He'll learn or I'll cut him. Aeva
my main looting focus is always consumable stuff like vials/pills, herbs, magic dusts, etc. im lazy.
Iusedtobesomebody
1. Gold. Always. 2. Consumables. Always. Tough fight? Barely won? Your best weapon and best armor piece. Easy fight? Steam rolled? Just gold and sacks. Cabal warfare? Whatever weakens you the most, without a full loot. Vendetta'd warfare? The full monty. I even loot your mount. I don't sac what I can't touch. Undead vs. Holy person? Full loot, full sac.

If im fighting people I ussually leave it all, like when I killed the Tribbies I used to leave it all, until they got happy and started taking all of my crap when I died... Im kinda on the "you have one chance to be civil" train, then its no mercy. Although look at Byrsypherus, he was the ****ING man, but I'd loot him because whilst I could sometimes beat him, every other single watcher couldnt. So I'd loot to save them the hassle of re-equiping (or more often then not me the hassle of re-equipping them.) To the victor the spoils - such is always the case but you'll gain a hell of a lot of respect and FAVOURABILITY in the future. Tell me you are fighting a 3 front war and need a break from me - been good to me in the past - and I'll count grass instead of attack you. If not, no mercy. Crypticant
I suppose it depends on your RP. Meh, actually, no, not really. All people should full loot. When I was first cutting my teeth, I learned a lot about PK from Orcrist and Old_Man. Both usually killed and full looted, and sacrificed whatever they didn't need. The reason? If you're in the business of killing people, you want a stretch of time before they come after you again. This is the only way you'll get the chance to take their cabal item, usually. Or, even the odds, depending on how many are on at once. The only way to ensure that is to full-loot and make them re-equip. Experienced players usually don't bitch and moan about a full loot...they expect it. At least I always did. If you know what you're doing, a re-equip shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to an hour. That's what we always estimated.

But I would add the qualification that if someone is a much newer player, you're not going to struggle against them whether they have gear or not, so it's sometimes a bit much to loot all their stuff.
