Advantage -Resistance to bash and bodyslam yes.. Disadvantage - better hope your flying. Trip lock.. That is all I see of it. Nothing more. What is your take? If YOU are a giant melee char, it is 100% no question about it vital. To give you an idea: As my FG zerk Lmathr I fought MANY paladins. Vs Ilendriel I did not have a large stock of the enlarge item. ANd it shows in the PK log since the bashes I did land did not lag him very much at all. Now I fought Orodreth, who was an elf pally played by festy, and by his own admission I could lag him for five rounds with one bash. That is a MAJOR advantage vs anyone who you can bash, you can even nicely lag other giants as long as you are enlarged. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But yes, Enlarge for a battlemage sucks. It last to few time, that it keeps falling. Can someone tell me how long is it ? Is it 8 or 16 hours ? It is good to keep up because of thieves and ninjas, but if you know they are there Poison is king. Good to use when using reflective shield. Not that i ever use it. Good to use if you are fighting a Necromancer and need to keep that Manalock up. Good to use vs a monk, due to chackeras. Size affects a lot of skills. Heh before this change you could miss a bash and still lag lock a halfling. This happened to me, although it was against bodyslam--was that changed too? HBwillie Posted April 9, 2009 Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 i can think of a few things enlarge is useful for. 1. if you're a little dude and you're fighting a big dude and you don't have protective shield, this could save your ***. 2. if you're a big dude and you're fighting a little dude who doesn't have protective shield, this could hasten your win via bashlock. 3. if you're a thief, this helps your accuracy against the big dudes. 4. there is a stat bonus when you're enlarged. The only thing that could prove detrimental is if you don't fly while you're enlarged against someone who can trip you. Always fly while enlarged. Itcan help with providing slight lag resistance and lag others easier. It provides bonus to some stats too. The downside comes with triplag, but flight is easy to maintain, so it's not a major disadvantage. Sure, it's not as essential as say, sanctuary or protection, but even small advantages are worth having when you can negate the downsides. Pali Posted April 9, 2009 Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 I don't know about bash, but bodyslam can certainly lag for 5 rounds... look at the Lmathr vs Ilendriel fight, one of his slams stuck me in combat for 5 rounds (unenlarged even - it just wasn't reliably that high of a lag).
