HouselessRogue
And. I fought him on two pinns. Rod + mindflayers will make you flee even if you are a neutral dwarven warrior.
Reccum
Grawrer took him down when he had those two flails, but yah, he did hit something major furious with them. I don't get why the damage is "unblockable" though. What does that mean?
f0xx
It means that you are ****ed up. Especially if you are a giant

Reccum
I thought it was mental damage type, you really cannot parry/dodge/shield block that weapon?
HouselessRogue
Telekinesis hits your mind' date=' how the **** do you parry a mental stabbing?[/quote'] With that line of reasoning, how do you wield it in each hand?

Pali
Telekinesis hits your mind' date=' how the **** do you parry a mental stabbing?[/quote'] Telekinesis is moving a physical object or directing a physical force with your mind. Telepathy (direct mind-mind communication) could be used to strike directly at the mind, but telekinesis could not (well, at least not in most fictional portrayals of it). However, telekinesis still applies with the Mindflayer flail if you picture it as the weapon imbuing the wielder with telekinesis of the physical force variety... imagine a Jedi using the Force to push somebody, but in this case it's more punch-like. Still wouldn't be possible to block, because it could always be applied directly on target. And that's my super-nerd post of the day.
Reccum
So that flail cannot be parried or blocked? Guess that leaves dodge?

tassinvegeta
Arvelo had a hard time against Elshan. Though I always thought saders were supposed to have it easy against melees. But I don't think I ever beat him.
Twinblades713
I beat him with my caster. He had nice output, but again I thought though it seemed cheap, it really was more balanced than I was originally making it out to be. The damage output was nice, but not intolerable. The character itself was very well played, in pk. I didn't manage to get alot of rp, but to make avatar (I think) the rp must have been top notch too. HouselessRogue
If the IMM staff really looked at them and OK'd them. I am fine with that. With the right gear combination they are pretty ferocious, but the same can be said for lots of things.
Mudder
Unblockable damage should never exist as a weapon. I'm with Mya.

MadCowDisease
mindflayers sound like they'd be beastly with a zerk. higher dmg output with rage, and take away their defenses and they'd be on the same level as you in that aspect. except less dmg. now... a mino zerk with those and the rod... oh dear lord.. Malchaeius
Having looked at the Playerkill to Playerdeath ratio of the person in question, as well as contemplating the positives and negatives of this weapon, I can honestly say that I am not at all convinced that it is overpowered. I am not convinced that it even negatively affects the balancing of that combination. On paper - and thus far - in action, it has not proven itself to be a factor that leads to the consistent and unavoidable defeat of those who run up against it. It is easy to say something looks good, until you yourself attempt it and realize that you are thoroughly mistaken.
Twinblades713
Malch I really hate that avatar. And I really hate mindflayers. But I don't think they're super overpowering... anymore. Not out of personal trial of them, but of what I've seen. Also... your avatar. D: yeah.
