I don't believe there should be anything type of curving system. I came here say 6 years ago I believe and I didn't know how to play, yeah I had NPC_death as a pretty good friend and he taught me a few things, among other friends I had that knew a few tools of the trade, but I died alot, most of the time it was my fault because I went out and attacked almost eveyone I could. That is the only way you will learn to pk. And the only reason I suggest cleric is because you can locate eq, heal, recall, refreash, sanc, learn how to chase. NTM that at 50 if you happen to get pked, you can heal up get a cheap shield and mace and half the time pk that person right back before they are ready to fight again. If that is not a "newbie curve" then I don't know what it. Play a cleric, if not then roll a faerie adv and apply for berserker, then kill yourself.

i'd like to note that i've learned how to see invis with pots/herbs, how to fly, all of that. as a war. xhan doesnt count, as i learned nothing but how to die. a lot. neither does liandra, she hasnt even made rank 10. just play her for a fun rp. and my war is almost pinn. have died from one player, 2 mobdeaths.

so whats hard about starting as a warrior. again?

and its not like i played any muds before this, except for one, and that was 6 years ago and i never made it past level 15 there. so the only thing i remembered is how to move and attack mobs. if that gives me some kinda heads up on people.. then class choice is hardly the problem.

but whatever. you want to reccomend a healer, go ahead, i'll reccomend a warrior.

That's you, but did anyone tell you where to buy them and the likes? With a Healer/Cleric you learn where these items are, and what level they are and all sorts of things more that you can't learn as a Warrior without Brambus. And even then, Brambus only if you finish the quest. Being a Healer/Cleric it teaches you more on a different aspect from a Warrior. Warrior you learn to PK more because Healer you can't PK unless they're Undead and Cleric's you could learn PK as well. Reason I say Cleric/Healer over Warrior is that they're not as EQ dependent as a warrior is. A warrior relies on decent to great EQ to be anything close to remotely good. A Cleric/Healer can get away with a weapon and shield since they have tons of protections and healing until their mana runs out/items run out. But it's not for everyone either.

i explored. i tried not to ask a whole lot of questions. i made sure i did quests, because thats the fastest way, from my experience with other MMO's, to find the basics.

will you get steamrolled as a warrior at pinn if you're new? yes.

will you get steamrolled as any class at pinn if you're new? yes.

from my experience, warrior combat is basic. there are a lot of automatics. and you get blind-fighting, a huge bonus, since one of the most basic and used strategies is to use a blinding effect.

What you see is Experienced players that take advantage of the fact that Adventurers cannot be attacked to Master skills in safety. And try to maximize HP, by saving practices.

Probably only one in ten of those adventurers are used for the use they were designed: Learn the game.
