I've Killed for Less
so the firewall weakens at 3 in the morning till 7 im sorry that doesnt make any sense to me and if for some reason thats the problem is their away around it Webfilters can have timed access settings. I create scripts for some of my clients that allow certain users to go certain places at set times. It very well could be a webfilter or firewall setting that the campus might not even realize they have set up.
I've Killed for Less
As for a way around it. You could ask the head of the IT staff at your school about the issue. Find me the ip address and I could break into it and snoop around. Or get an aircard and create your own internet connection.

MadCowDisease
i believe that if you click start->run type "cmd" press enter, the command prompt will come up. you should be able to type "ipconfig" and it should tell you the IP address of the machine you're using, and hell maybe even the subnet mask. dont quite remember the details. MadCowDisease
is this by chance related to your previous connection trouble, with the outages?

MadCowDisease
likely due to their internet settings. like i said in your other post: the default setting for internet explorer is to have telnet blocked. which is how MUDs are played. the solution? www.mudconnect.com/java/telnet a browser-based java client. FL is listed on the list of MUDs it can connect to, and you dont have to put in any information manually. the only problem is that it might be blocked. If it is, i hope you have some friends in the IT department. best of luck =)
