Malicious
I think there's a help file on this, but what's the conversion for a normal character's "lifespan"? For example, I know if I start at 15 yrs old as a Human, I can only live for X years. How many gameplay hours will that allot me to develope that char. The reason why I'm asking is for qrace/class options. I don't want to "rush" to get to pinn. However, I also don't want to take my sweet time, develop RP, then convert only to find out that I'm 70 yrs old and past my prime! Sorry for kind dominating the Newbie Forum these past few days:rolleyes: , and I appreciate all the help!
f0xx
There is not limitation. You won't die at 70, nor at
Malicious
Hmm...But isn't a 400 year old Human a little odd RP-wise?
f0xx
We live in a magical fantasy world with brave knights, mighty sorcerors and vampires/demons/undeads. A human at 400 years is just a base for a different RP.

MadCowDisease
or Corey Taylor from slipknot. L O L For example' date=' I know if I start at 15 yrs old as a Human, I can only live for X years. How many gameplay hours will that allot me to develope that char.[/quote'] its not gameplay hours. time continues for your character even if you aren't logged on. its time since creation that modifies age. Take Liandra. I started her at 23. She's now 40. At level 9. Why? Because she was made roughly at the same time as Xhan, my first failure. That and I can't seem to find groups when i want to level her. And im not good enough to solo yet.

a-guitarist
I heard if you don't use your trains on hp, you'll have more later because the game scales your HP to a certain number. a-g

That is one of the reasons that I had to make a melee character I felt, because I knew it would be tough to get a group all the time, quests should help you somewhat at least. But say an invoker would have a tough time leveling alone.
Implementor Anume Posted April 27, 2009 Implementor Report Share Posted April 27, 2009 You do not necessarily have to rp your age as the same as in your score sheet. If you wish to rp you are 20 years old, you are 20 years old. At least that's how I've always handled it
Twinblades713
You are your align. Not what align you want to play. You are your age. Not what age you want to play. What happened to that? ;D Just being an ***.
Deykari
Backing up Eshaine's example, I can think of plenty of people on the FL forums alone who are aged 20+ but act as though they're a quarter of their age. Dey

Mudder
I'm pretty sure A-G was making a joke or something. And Pali, Pfft! I take credit for denying it. Zhokril just backed me up. If you can RP any age you want, lets remove age from showing when you "info" or "bio" someone. People shouldn't be able to randomly know how old you are anyway. Dale
I don't care if Virigoth and Satan appear in my living room in a swirling mist at the same time to tell me that, I will kick then both in the balls. You will have less hp if you use your trains by 50. It may be a bug but you will have less hp if you use your trains before 50. You will. Have less hp. Trains before 50. I've deleted chars, like ogres with 700 hp at 50. EDIT: I like to know a chars age, most people pick the 15% age at beginning, so you can usually scale how long they been around.
