a-guitarist
I need a new cell, my is currently on the slow boat across Styx, and I'm thinking of upgrading to something a little beefier. You all seem to be hip and with it- no jive turkeys amongst you whippersnappers, so I'm coming to you. The current model, which worked just fine for what it was needed to do, was the Samsung Alias. What I'm looking for now, though, is something a little more PDAish. I'm currently eying the BlackBerry 8703e, and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it past what the verizon site says, or any of the horribly painful to look at review sites say? My skirt doesn't blow up too much at the iPhone or any Internet capable phones- as I really find it a novelty. Anything I need to do on the internet I can do from my desk or my Netbook. Also, I'm not too keen on touch screens... but I haven't had much experience with them past playing with an iPhone while at Wal*Mart. Are they a pain to clean/upkeep/fix if they break? So, what am I supposed to look for when buying a phone (past the obvious coverage areas, but I'm also pretty much narrowed in on Verizon only)? Signal frequency? Memory? Codecs? I'm really not sure... What I want to do is plan my days (I've got memory issues that I really need help with, this is the big one on my block)- so a program/screen that will let me break down my days in medium to advanced segments is paramount. Also, I'd like to have email access, but I'm not sure how that works without having mobile internet on the phone. Txting is a "whatever" to me, but in related to that I'm currently unable to figure how I did anything before this Samsung, as I love it's full qwerty "keyboard". I'm also looking at a desire for a camera, but again, it isn't a mandatory selling point. Any suggestions? a-g
