Deptore
I was just wondering if anyone might know a way to get past Novell so I might be able to Mud. I work nights as a security guard and actually only spend about an hour working besides glancing at cameras. I can download things, already tried Gmud but it won't let me connect. Telnet closes itself if I try to use it.
Dale
I'm unsure but I believe you can just turn it off like a firewell.
Deptore
I'm not an administrator on the network. Maybe I can get an IT to allow the site for a cheese burger.
Dale
Hell I'd do it for a cheeseburger.
a-guitarist
Before I post the link to something that probably won't help anyways... I just want to put out some advice. Don't. In this economy, people are fighting for jobs and there are people probably willing to do the same job you're doing- for longer hours and less pay. I'd rather see you not in the game during the day, so long as you can keep playing at night. But, if you're absolutely positive they won't fire you if you get caught trying to work around network security... Googled "Browser Mud Clients", I'm sure you can find a Java applet on a webpage to help facilitate your using the next one.... SeeTHROUGH, a free web proxy. And, again. Just make sure you won't lose your job if you're caught. If you're in IT, your job isn't perfectly safe as I know a few people in IT locally that have been downsized. And they were Masters level graduates, decent workers, just low man on the totem. Central New York has always blown for Jobs, but it's become a nation wide thing. Survival is first in real life just like in FL. a-g
Deptore
I work as a security guard (or so the title says, really I'm a secretary here), 16 hours fri, 16 hours sat, 8 sun. We're allowed to bring laptops, dvd players, and brows the internet during the shifts after everyone is gone. I'm pretty sure it is just blocked automatically, since we don't even keep an IT on staff here, we have contractors who are on call if the system breaks. If it isn't broken, no one even checks it.
