Pali
Wrong. Ask Thaalken about that. ;-) Predict is an exception, though I was not aware that one could actually predict the "charge" skill.
Guest emp_newb
If you cannot counter while blind, why the hell can you predict counter while blind? Aren't you waiting to see them start to do something? Then how the hell can you see them doing it if you are BLIND. That sounds like something that needs fixed. Guest emp_newb
Ok, If I am thundering at you atop a 2000 pound war horse, in the midst of a frenzied battle, you are gonna have a hard time telling what direction I am coming from, as well as when you are supposed to toss in your counter. It just seems very, unsettling. I think that if you cannot effectively counter, you should not be able to twin counter.
KRins
I'm trying to figure out how you are countering a big armored man with a big pointy stick on a big angry horse...the business end of a lance is outside of the effective range of...pretty much any weapon I can think of...except another lance or a wicked long spear... especially if you can't see him coming. A mounted charge according to historical records was like deafening thunder. Granted we are talking about 1 person instead of 100 or 1000...but I'm not sure that (if you can...I don't know if you can) just predicting charge should let you counter a mounted charge. Espescially with someone like gorbak wrecking large villages of nonbelievers?[/quote'] What does this have to do with what we are talking? In your case you want to nerf a class which can counter a tactic which you said you use quite often. In my case, I want to give more power to class to which I've fallen. Besides, Gorbak is really not a good example due to his combo. In his case, we have an obviously very experienced and skilled player who is playing a very strong combo. [edit] Also, Bali's addition is quite valid.

Evangelion
If the only stance you're able to use against warriors is deathweaver, you're going to die to a lot of warriors.
Pali
*shrugs* If you ask me, warriors should be able to defeat blademasters fairly regularly. Of course, I'm just a guy who thinks that warriors should be able to beat every other melee class fairly regularly, so... Regardless, predict dirt would still prevent the warrior from blinding you then bashing you a bunch.

Guest emp_newb
If someone here can give me a legit reason why blms can twin counter while blind, while NOT being able to REGULARLY counter, then I am all ears. As it stands, I think that is odd. If you can twin counter blind, you can counter blind.

If a blademaster is blind he can still counter if his enemy is using the skill he is predicting. Blademaster cannot counter (or twin counter) first attacks if he is blind, unless again the enemy is using a opening skill which he is predicting. I haven't seen a case of blind blademaster who is twin countering murder commands. [edit] Actually I am not 100% sure on the last one, will have to check my logs. Guest emp_newb
Also about zerks. How many stipulations can you guys add on it? By your alls logic all zerks suck, unless played by a good person in a cabal, then they rip the pbase apart. But if they die, you are right, if they do good, it is just their combo. Ogre Fury is hardly a power combo, and didn't mudder start the zerks suck after HIS watcher zerk flopped?

Pali
All right, I am just never, ever going to mention a character of mine as an example again. EDIT: As for predict working while blind... *shrugs* The downsides to the skill, as well as its limited utility, make it so I don't really mind much that it works while blind. If a blm wants to dual wield and give up critical strikes when fighting a paladin... well, he's just signing up for a butt-kicking anyways. Evangelion
I would take Ironarm or Kyousanken against a paladin just about any day, especially if I didn't have mastery in their race.
Pali
A paladin of a race a blm doesn't have mastery in, regardless of stance, is going to be a VERY tough fight for the blm. No way to lag an attrition class that can nearly equal you in melee? It's painful.
