One Way Up
I'm trying to figure out how to get these roms I've found turned into ISO's so I can run them on an emulator I have. I figured I'd be able to eventually figure it out, but I keep running into walls. If anyone has any experience with this, do you think you could send me a pm and give me a hand? Guest emp_newb
Yea, to offer the best help, it would be a big step to know what ISOs hehe. Me giving you ways to translate a linux rom to ISO would not help at all if it was an XP rom.
a-guitarist
Is your Emulator a program on your computer, or is it an actual machine you insert CDs into? ISOs can be burned onto discs. Roms, in my experience, can be played by most programs in their usual state. (I've never tried anything higher than Sega 32x on Emulators, however.) ISO's can be mounted as a regular CD on a virtual Drive with Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% (I believe is the name of the program) or any number of other programs that are virtual CD or DVD drives. Your best bet? Google the name of the Emulator plus "how to" or "how to guide". Google is always your friend when learning new tech stuff, as a thousand people have had the same issue, which usually spurs someone beneficent force to put up a step by step how to guide. They've saved me many times. Another thing to remember, a lot of software uses the same terms/file types as many other programs- but act and have commands to use these terms/file names in vastly different ways. It is part of the burden of many people making their own programs, but, in the end it all helps propel the small programmers and the effort of open source. a-g
oldskooler
Are you trying to fool the emulator into thinking the cd is in? I am unsure why you can't find compatible roms with your emulator. You trying to play ps3 or something? Anyways I found one for you, I used to work for the warez and cracking sites back in the days. Reading hex is beyond me I was lost at int 13. http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/downloads/dmg_iso_converter_info/
