Cephirus
Yeah.. avatars... common... Anyways, I think it is better that tattoos are as rare as they are. I remember the first tattoo I earned, I was constantly getting spanked all over the lands by no less than three savants at the time. No other wm's about, but I never stopped trying to get my item back. Constantly regaining eq, and going back for more. Unfortunately, Athaekeetha was no longer really with us, but crypt was obviously watching and saw my determination not to give up and thus rewarded me for my efforts. I think if there were many players that did have the tattoo, it would cheapen the value of it. Think of how awesome it would be to work your *** off tirelessly at something, then out of the blue, someone takes notice and rewards you. I think there is nothing better. mya
I think good that Avatar/Vamp/Lich/PSI should be given only to hardcore players. But softcore players should be allowed to apply for Crussaders and Undead. Of course the players should be given a conversions to hardcore when approved. On cabals, Please no Elders softcore. But perhaps trusted in Sigil is OK. Same for Nexian weak cabal side. Or perhaps something completely different with the new cabal skills. That makes a lot of sense. Ex-D&Der
There will be no pwipe. Everyone will be in the tier that they are in right now. There will be a two week grace period where characters in game can simply write a note to immortal asking to be placed in the alternate tier. After that two week period has ended' date=' characters can only decide upon creation.[/quote'] I take it by the "tier they are in right now" you mean the hardcore tier. The "alternate" tier will be what is referred to in the proposal as the standard tier?
Raargant
Hi Iyorvin. To answer briefly a few points that I didn't think were yet covered, Are standard players going to be considered casual gamers, and still contribute in a more complete and fleshed out way, or is this only a stepping stone to allow newer players to transition into hard core mode? This entire time, I have tried to stress that this is to be an 'alternate' tier, not the 'newbie' tier. When you say non-rares can not be looted, does this mean bags, consumables, and scrolls/wands or other items of such nature? Bingo. Also, can these things be stolen via thieves? Yes. But there will be limitations on how much a thief can jack from a standard player. What about outlawed characters who are of a standard nature? Will they lose everything when captured, or do they fall under the same rules as hard core players, in this nature. Should be the same as if they were killed. The "alternate" tier will be what is referred to in the proposal as the standard tier? This is why I hate standard and hardcore names. The standard is hardcore(because that is how the game was designed), while the other is technically softcore but it seems we've decided to switch these around.
