Imoutgoodbye
Look at the stats between these two polls. The half-loots/rares poll has been split almost evenly all the way through its inception. The hardcore/standard vote isn't even close. Someone's talking out both sides of their mouths.
TheNewGuy
No, I think you're just interpreting the results the wrong way. The questions are completely different, although about similar issues. Thus you cannot compare the results the way you do.

People still want to be hardcore. Full looting is an old school/hardcore mentality. Where did I go wrong here?
TheNewGuy
I think you're spot off. People want to see a change in the system, but that is mostly to keep the new players until they learn. Most people here want to play hardcore, they just don't think that newbies should have too, because we want to keep the new players. Actually, the result confirms what has been said before, there's amlost only vets left. The new players doesn't stay.
Deptore
I can't really say. I know that people like full looting until it's done to them. I actually see a lot of people not going hardcore because they want more safety especially if they're not very active or good. Of course, I don't think many would admit to it. Iyorvin
I disagree with both. I think the polls were constructed at different times with different attitudes. The first, obviously the hardcore/standard vote, is created nearly a year ago. The second, my poll, is created a year later. Situations have changed, and mentalities have changed surrounding the subjects, and the game in general. If I were to ask you what your favorite thing was 10 years ago, then asked you again to day, and since the answered varied, would that give me the right to call you a hypocrite? And that's the kind of hard coding I don't agree with. Anyways, I'm off to work. EDIT: Didn't notice they were so far apart. I just can't believe the stat difference I'm seeing. Never called anyone a hypocrite. Just saying people want their cake and to eat it, too.
TheNewGuy
Valek; Well, hardcore without full loot aint gonna happen. Tiers or no looting of non-rare armor/weaponry are two alternatives. I doubt we'll see both. I still say you are totally off here. Iyorvin; I didn't notice there was a time gap. But it doesn't matter imo, as it is two very different questions, even tho about nearly the same subject. Edit: Ehrm, it WASNT 1 year old, so gtfo with your false information, festy. Aulian
Shrug why not? We all play hardcore atm and I dont often full loot. Only if its an impossible foe I some how manage to beat that I dont want to kill me too soon again. If I die and they dont full loot, I'll never full loot them in the future until they do it to me. The way I see it is they are MORE hardcore because they are saying "Cummon, try that again puppy." and with some gear I bloody well will... Full looting me will just let you sit there and do nothing whilst I quit/re-equip and avoid until some point im decked enough to fight you with a chance (in my mind.) Deptore
I only take gold and gear I need, I've passed up rares that were good simply because mine was better. If someone goes obviously OOC (complaining isn't) I'll destroy everything and leave a flower or something along those lines. I have a few times destroyed just the weapons of a melee class or the charged staff of an invoker because they talked so much crap to me before the fight. I only loot those who loots me first. Sure I take a few things, only if i really need it, but I have stopped full looting so that person can come back for round two. Makes things more fun. Iyorvin
Haha, Yeah, so I was looking at the full loots poll, not the correct one. I don't know, perhaps it's because most people don't want a second tier system? I like Raar's idea, now that I fully understand each tid bit. Regardless of how you look at it, it will help with both player retention and lowering the learning curve.
