Dizz
My review: I just rolled a character for the first time in a year. This system is great for part-time players!!!

Aulian
This would defeat the entire purpose. This system SHOULD be completely unnecessary. So people who dislike it have no one to blame but themselves. This community proved themselves completely unable to play the game in a fair and decent manner. Full looting and multikilling newbies is stupid and I am glad they now get some protection. I just wish it wasn't necessary. I also wonder if full loots will become more acceptable amongst hardcore players. I hope not, but who knows? Support that comment 100%.... You created the need for the system, so the system remains. Like any newly implemented system there will be problems to be ironed out. Instead of crying foul, roll a thief, struggle on and use your maturity to help iron out the problems within the system so that it works perfectly for everyone. Aulian
'fair and decent' in this case means 'coddling to people who are unable to run or otherwise survive and are unwilling to learn'. i don't know about other folks, but i've never died and gone to blame the guy who killed and full looted me for 'being unfair and indecent'. i blame myself for being stupid or making a mistake (or blaming bellsouth for having crappy service). a full loot is a well earned prize for victory. All of you are so childish... Just because you had to struggle and die those people who have a HUGE RANGE OF ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS shouldnt be enticed to play here because some old players reckon 'they're real men (and woman *wink cel*)' and they can learn like I learnt? Are you completely ignorant? Only 5% of the people who started here remained with the old system and then became EXCEEDINGLY aggrovated with the current system, like MCD for example. People with the ability to PK to the point where you have a CHALLENGE will NOT be playing moderate characters. Its that simple. Those people unconfident in their abilities will - whats the point in a pk if its a completely one sided thing anyway? Leave the ego at the door boys, come play with the real men. Sometimes its better to sit back and read what everyone else says before making multiple posts that make you look to be completely against the progression of the mud, its staff and its current players, for as a playerbase we VOTED this change into the mud. 4c worth. EDIT This was not directed at anyone in particular Inscribed, merely a few of you within the thread itself.
Ex-D&Der
Mudder completely hit the nail on the head and if PK followed RP rather than the other way around this never would have been necessary. But maybe it is a change for the better. We'll see.
Dale
Well can thieves take 2 rares from your corpse plus the 2 they stole/pried? If so then thieves are over powered. J/k
Iyorvin
Dizz said it, this should bring a lot of us old timers out of the wood works, and give us an honest chance to play at a semi-competitive level. Btw - Baby started walking today. More than just one or two steps, she actually turned around, and took about 12 in a row and walked to me! OMG, time flies so fast, 10 months already? HouselessRogue
The thief thing... the two item limit is for rares, right? Backpacks aren't rare. Am I reading that incorrectly? I think this is good. No elite or non-Herald vet will be playing a moderate. This will be very beneficial for the newbies. We talk and talk about retention, this is a solid step in that direction. Again, I agree with Mudder, Aulian, etc. This happened because of in game crap. Deal with it.

-Totenkopf-
I have a few little concerns with the new system. We will see how it pans out though. What I am afraid of, is the ability for the for, certain combos in particular, to get the jump on you. If you allow some combos first strike it significantly increases their chance of a kill. Ie, you kill this character, then he just sits around, waits for your prot shield or whatever he wants to drop, then jumps you. Guess it just means a hardcore character needs to be forever prepared (which can be quite strenuous) whilst a standard character doesn't have to worry about having sanc up etc all the time. Sure, if it were a newbie playing the standard char, all well and good, but as its been said, it isn't a newbie only tier. People can, and will abuse the system. Its always happened. People have abused bugs and every loophole. Also, what about dark-knights? Still able to get lvl 10 malforms? This would be a massive bonus for this particular combo and I can see it being abused. I dont think malforms are a rare item for a start are they? So thats two weapons they can have without even attributing to their limit. A moderate dk with 8-12 rares and 2 malforms would still be super powerful, same with a shaman or cleric with only a limited number of rares. What about crusaders? I am see an influx of these particular combos coming. Not because people are 'new' or don't have enough playtime, or dont like being looted, but because it'll be a 'power' combo with little to loose. When they die, it doesn't matter, they come back just as strong as before. Will DK's have a limit on their malform level (ie, lvl7 or 8?) or will they still be able to acquire level 10 malforms? They are about my only concerns. I guess I'll see how it pans out. Oh, and just to clarify, I am all for the system. Just little concerned about the vet 'power gamers' so to speak, taking advantage of it. Anything that will help get some more players. I get sick of seeing noone one. Now that we got this, can we get rid of LI
Mudder
Actually Tot has a good point with malforms. I say we cap them at lvl 7. (Which might still be too high.) I reckon Crusaders won't be allowed for a moderate player.

I know it was brought up in a thread, but after a certain point malforms are owner only anyway. Crusaders also already have a rare limit (a much meaner one than 8-12) and any sader with some brains is gonna make his armor untouchable anyway. Yes, but before malforms went owner only, you used to be able to loot and sac them. Now, as I think malforms are none-rare, these is no risk to having them sacced?
