I knew it...

Personally I think that they get handed out more for RP about getting your description checked than the actual description. Every time I have interacted with an IMM about my desc I wind up with something cool.

I agree. Thats why I usually write a nice IC note for my desc check. DCheck, while no doubt much more streamlined, more effecient, and leading to faster desc approval times (something everyone including me wanted), takes away from that. Catch 22. You win some you loose some. Ah well. The game rolls on. DCheck is probably better in the long run, I can live without a dragon I suppose. Somehow. :P

I get them relatively frequently. For some reason I only ever get them on characters who have big big RP (even if noone has seen it, I have plans to develop later) and a 3 paragraph desc. Wtf.

EDIT: And as cool as dragons are, I can think of much better stuff to wear at pinn (even though Pildo has a mecha-drake, which is too perfect for his RP not to wear all the time.)

I just loved the little tribal guy. He had the gayest power ever.

I mean a burst of fire? Sweet.

I jet of water? sweet.

Heart? Wtf, is that supposed to make them feel bad? I mean come the hell on.

Dragons are nice. I like the glasses better myself. Got a blonkeywan once. But my favotire was a carrion flower given to a duergar cleric. It didnt do anything, but no one could take it from me. Chaotic Evil flower hugging freak didn't make it to pinn.

I've gotten things for imm interaction, like quests and a few items. But as far as desc checks go, I never get any interaction at all. It's not like I can't write a desc but you guys sound like yall get crap all the time, and you must all be the nubs I see running around with a fire drake that doesn't know the grand pooh-bah assists.

I always feel like I'm pestering the Imms if I do anything other than send a one-sentence note asking for a description check or a quick prayer. What's the best way to engage the Imm's about description checks without making it obvious that you really want a dragon?

Honestly I usually toss an RP oriented prayer.

"I have prepared my body for your most illustrious eyes."

"Mer been tryin ter learn, but lookin lak uh gotter get mer body looked ova."

"My body has been prepared for you who have elevated beyond what you once where."

So on and so fourth.

first is a religious zealot type, second is apathetic, third is agnostic.

Out of about 20-30 characters, I've only ever got one dragon.. and it was a earth dragon, I'm greatful but... come'on it was a earth dragon! I was a paladin....

I got a custom item once, which was bound to my customer, although another immortal made me change my name, then when I logged on next, my happy little item was lying on the ground and kept zapping me when I tried to pick it up, never got it back..

My last desc check was a gruff warrior, it went something like this:

"If ye were to be lookin down on me I'm guessin you'll notice I look pretty good. Good enough to be passin further than that guild master wants to let me go."

After approval

"I told ye you'd be agreein with me."

And for that... an earth dragon on a wannabe gladiator warrior.

I had a monk, and at level 1-15 my description was.

"Yeah, I look like Jet Li from that movie Fearless, after he killed that dude and had blood all over his robes, yeah... that was badass, that's what I look like"

I would give a dragon to that.
