How about a cabal service/town service/quest to make you young again........

Remove aging effects, but maybe keep a max age where they die naturally.
I'm not a huge fan of aging effects myself. I'd be down with them leaving.
Indeed, and I do think its unfair how some races do not age, And I wont say which.
Does anyone have the figures for when each race ages? I kinda wanna know since my guy is prolally close to aging here in a bit

It's probably at something like 75-80% of their max life. As determined by age percentages at creation.
Throw in an item -- Ring of Eternal Youth, or some such. Make it a quest item; that might be cool. Have it remove a character's aging penalty when worn.

Always hated the aging. Half the reason I played Drow (almost) exclusively was to avoid that inane penalty for sticking to a character.
I tended to play characters that'd last for upwards of a year, year and a half.
So that meant a lot of Drow Casters/Communers because they are (virtually) immortal.
so, effectively, that discourages people from playing 'old' characters, as they will 'decline' quicker.

Aging would be no problem for me if all races aged, but some races take so damn long to age. And usually they are the ones that are played by the classes that don't really need the stats that go down when you age. So like everything, melee get the shaft.
Yep getting old sucks, maybe have a perk that stops it or a quest for the fountain of eternal youth. The melee classes suffer the most and whilst im up for keeping things fresh for those of us who only have a limited amount of time to play nothing is worse than logging on a character and seeing he has aged a good few years.

More seriously, however, we aren't huge fans of it either, and there are a few ideas being tossed back and forth about how to deal with it. Iru himself has stated before that he does indeed plan to change it in some way, shape, or form, if not eliminate it entirely. We'll get back to you guys; we currently aren't planning to let it remain like this forever.
