Imoutgoodbye
So, went to the oncologists office yesterday. My wife's petscan for the hodgkins lymphoma came back negative. So, we wait two years to see if it comes back or if it is cured. THEN they tell us that there was some "odd" activity/coloring in the uterus area and they ordered a pelvic catscan to determine more. *sigh* Prayers (crossed fingers if you don't care for prayer) would be most appreciated. Thank you.
Mudder
Sounds like good news! Don't let the odd activity get ya down! They're just being extra cautious, which is a good thing. I wouldn't worry about it. Though I'll cross my fingers (and toes) for your wife anyway.

Imoutgoodbye
Crossed fingers are about as effective as prayer. EDITED: Sorry, Pali...if you read what was here. Slightly short in the patience department. Just an old fool hanging onto his religion and hope.
Croyvern
EPH 5:33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. Guest emp_newb
I wish you much luck. My mother beat non-hodgekins in '03. It came back in 06 as leukemia. I definately know how helpless you can feel in those times man. Just keep your head up high.

Guest emp_newb
I will warn you though, Doctors told my mother when she went into remission that lymphoma usually returns later in life.

Mudder
Crossed fingers are about as effective as prayer. Best wishes, though. Not true Pali. Prayer has actually had the opposite intended effect. Crossing fingers, however, never hurt anyone.

Imoutgoodbye
LET ME MAKE SOMETHING VERY ****ING CLEAR! All I'm asking for is well wishes/prayers/whatever positive energy you want to send this way. Even if it's just your thoughts. I don't care if you believe in religion. I don't care if you do. But it's incredibly disrespectful to sit here and start arguing about it or using veiled bashing (yeah, it's veiled bashing when I am religious). This is NOT the post to talk about your feelings on it or your logic or whatever the hell else your views are on this. Take it somewhere else. I'm ****ing sick of this "logic" mentality and "this is my view because"...I state again, this is not that post. Pali, you're my example. Everyone knows your views on religion by now. I don't need the memo here. Anyone even remotely using this thread for their own views/purpose should be damned well ashamed of themselves and if they can "logically" come up with a reason not to be, well, this isn't exactly a thread of logic. It was born of emotion. EDIT: This is not aimed at anyone who was trying to not offend anyone...."positive metaphysics"...that was hilarious! Don't worry about offending anyone, NPC. The only thing offending me right now is the Crusaders of Science and their noses being turned down.
Ex-D&Der
Not sure you can expect that, Valek. Take the well-wishes for what they're worth, ignore the rest. I know where you're coming from, but no use getting steamed over an opinion.

No one needed to post on this thread with that crap. Disrespectful.

-Totenkopf-
My grandfather had opp to remove bowel cancer about a month ago. Well. Obviously didn't get it all because its spready to his lymph system. Starts chemo in a week. Sixty percent chance of success max (or so the docs say) so not too crazy hot. Not odds I'd like to take with a fifty dollar note, left alone a life.
