mya
I foresee Battlemages... I bet you did not espect this. Battlemages have it all. - Powerfull AFF magic. (Sharpmetal,Sear,Meteor Swarm) - Usefull Maledictions. (If you manage to land them.) (Blind,Slow,Shrink,Thunderclap) - Kick *** meele damage. (2 attacks,Blades,Dancing blade,Reflective shield) - Protective spells (Force Shield,Manalock,Field Dressing,ACbuffs, non magical resistence) - Insane Regeneration - The ability to focus on Saves EQ at will. With Hp when you fell like it. - The ability to Trip and Disarm off hands all in the same round. They only lack: - Teleport for when they are caught with pants down. - Mental spells other than Dispel. - Field Dressing to actually work when you most need it. Think about it. They have no bane, and can deal with any class. - Shamans ? Suit with Malsaves. You lose no ofensive power. - Magic resist races ? dance basic weapons cast sharpmetal. - Phisical resist races ? Dance magic weapons, cast Sear,Dispel,Blind,Slow. - Monks ? Who cares that they lag lock you and disarm you. Your meele output is TOP. - Blademasters ? Slow/Dispel/Blind/Disarm - Warrior ? TRip,Blind,Offhand disarm, slow. - Invoker ? Phisical dancing blade, Blades, Manalock, Sharpmetal. (Slow+Sleep) No really, more people should play them. I know they are hard to control, and newbies go insane with them, but we have enough veterans to have someone create a monster with this class. Forget Sigil, someone needs to make a Savant Evil Avian with 900 HP base.

Smart blms do very well Paladins kick *** monks can cause bmgs serious trouble and invokers EAT bmgs.
f0xx
- Shamans ? Suit with Malsaves. You lose no ofensive power. I will eat any battlemage with a shaman.
mya
No, you will eat most Battlemages. Playing a battlemage is like jumping off a ship on the English channel. Either you know how to swim very well or you sink. And even then the cold will kill you half the time.
Dale
Man I know a guy who quit playing who plays a sick battlemage too. I would love to see him return with one. But I think a stone giant ranger archer woulc rock. Numerous vulns and males. boulder throw-sick effect. good str giant size. phisical resistance. I think one well played could be a force. Pali
Paladins kick *** Except against Temporum bmgs. Though, frankly, the Temporum skillset just kind of screws paladins in general, regardless of the class that has it.
Dale
True but they can still be out damaged if you use hit and run tactics.
Pali
True but they can still be out damaged if you use hit and run tactics. Hit and run works great as a paladin against nearly everything, because you can attrition better than they can. This is not the case against a temporum battlemage. Stretching out the fight actually works to his advantage, not yours, and you're unlikely to be doing much more than equaling him in damage done during fights.
