Dks and pet

Z, if you are downing Necros, can i sugest a upping for balance.

Cut the cool down time on Strength Damned.

If they are going to cast more, and have less powerful pets they will lose them more often. The idea is to allow less downtime after a pet wipeout.

To clarify, we are not "downing" Necros. More like correcting an unintentional "upping". ;) Also, the strength damn timer isn't very long anyways. From what I've seen, its usually run out or close to it by the time the necro gets the next zombie.

The problem is that if you are new to the class you are always losing your pets.

You get isolated, they get killed when you recall, people kill your weak pets cause they are not Travens, you die cause you suck.

It's quite disincouraging. Perhaps a reduced time for first, and second and a heavyer timer for third.

Or based on level. Some pets are low level. And the powerbeasts are always high level Traven, Shuldam.

What i mean is some differentiation to make Necros more newbie friendly.

Well there are always gonna be classes that are not newbie friendly. Battlemages, DKs, Necros. All of those are not newbie friendly classes.

I would even go so far as to say a shaman, and invoker are not so newbie

friendly either.

Basically there are classes you HAVE to know at least some of the game to play to any level of success.

Necros need to know sanc sources, and where to get pets. Dks need to know a bit to get malforms going properly, Bmgs require alot of attention, upkeep, and knowledge of what weapons to use when.

basically reading the essays for most of these classes can help, but only some time in game is the guarantee.

Honestly though, if I am fighting a shaman, and he keeps hitting me with easily cured mals, it is not gonna cause me to flee.

Until there's 5 easiy cured mals' date=' 3 uncurables and you have no moves. :)[/quote']

I said a few easily cured mals. I get hit with an uncurable its time to roll on down the streets of bakersfield.

On a side note, if everyone flees when spelled up, explain to me how that newbie is ever gonna learn to PK? All he has learned is well, when I cast this, they run. He is now playing an evil healer.

Which is why shaman's are a whore to play before you really know how. Heh

He is learning when to run, and how to chase. The two most important aspects of PK in FL. What more do you want from a newbie class? And shaman makes it easier for him to chase, so he has plenty of margin for error there, so he can gradually learn. Both dysentry and plague leave a trail for him to follow, so he can learn what areas people run to/through, all of his mals will show him what consumables people carry/use to cure themselves when he casts on them, he has a spell to help him hide for when he doesn't know all the good hidey spots yet... Plus vodoo is great for pissing people off and making them come find you! :P
