It's no farther than say' date=' the duergar city.[/quote']

It is much farther than duergar city, and much crappier to get to.

I can guarantee, if we where to both start in rheydin, and one of us ran to gal ranidon, and the other ran to Airia, I

can guarantee that the one of us on the way to gal ranidon would win the race.

especially if the other doesnt have a way to fly at the time.

I will bet you 100000 gold that I will get to Airia first. Without needing to fly. Maybe you are taking the wrong way? Plus I won't need to open doors to get there.

If you learn the path to the Airia, it will take just as long as running to any other place. It's just a very out of the way location, and therefore nobody ever goes there, and therefore nobody knows how to run the mountain.

Take the time to learn it, and you would be able to chase there just fine.

In keeping with the original post, I have often wondered this myself. We should let avians and faeries join their respective hometowns. Whats this its too far from Rheydin? Yeah, thats a problem? Avians and faieries are often casters, wording to a more out of the way or otherwise unexpected locale might be the difference between life and death.
